How do repayments work?
When you take a payout, ZayZoon notifies your employer’s payroll provider. The repayment is then deducted from your paycheck on your next official pay date.
Good to know: ZayZoon does not process payroll, hold your paycheck, or garnish wages. All deductions are handled directly by your employer’s payroll provider.
Once we receive your payroll data, your repayment status is automatically updated in the app. It can take up to 24 hours after payday for this data to appear.
Tip: Always refer to the official pay date listed on your stub to know when your ZayZoon balance will reset.
You may receive your pay stub before payroll has officially been processed.
How do I repay ZayZoon?
Repayments are handled through your employer’s payroll system—so in most cases, there’s nothing you need to do.
However, if payroll is delayed or doesn’t deduct the full repayment, your account may show an overdue balance, and payouts will be temporarily paused until it’s resolved.
You can check your Activities page to view:

When will repayments will be taken?
Each payout in your Activities page includes an estimated “On or Before” repayment date.
This is based on your employer’s payroll schedule, but timing can vary depending on how quickly your payroll provider processes deductions.
Good to know: ZayZoon is not a loan—there are no interest fees on late repayments and does not impact your credit score.
Tip: Explore our financial resources and Boom Perks to see how you can improve your credit store.
What if I was overcharged?
If you were charged more than expected or charged twice, don’t worry—ZayZoon automatically reviews all repayments and will issue a refund credit if needed.
Most credits are processed within 48 hours. You’ll receive an email once your credit is available to claim in the app.
If it’s been more than 48 hours and you haven’t received a credit, please send a copy of your paystub to our team through chat in the ZayZoon app.
