How to Set Your Availability Within a Scheduling Page

Set custom availability hours for a specific scheduling page, or apply and manage your availability schedules — all from within the scheduling page editor.

This article covers per-page availability — the second level of availability in Zeeg, which you set directly inside an individual scheduling page. Changes you make here can be applied to that scheduling page only, unless you choose to edit an existing availability schedule, in which case the changes will affect all scheduling pages using that schedule.

You can also set availability by creating/editing availability schedules from the main availability menu, without selecting a scheduling page. Learn how to do that here.

If you have a calendar connected to Zeeg, your availability works alongside it. Zeeg checks both: your availability defines when you want to be bookable, and your connected calendar ensures any existing events are automatically blocked out. You don't need a connected calendar for your availability to work — but if you have one, Zeeg uses it to prevent double bookings.

How to edit the availability settings of a scheduling page

  1. Go to your Zeeg Dashboard, choose Scheduling Pages on the left menu, and click on the page you want to edit.

  2. Within your scheduling page, pick Availability on the left menu and click on the user to edit the availability

  3. There will open a menu on the right, with a dropdown that contains three options:

    1. Apply an existing availability schedule - Select any of your previously created availability schedules from the dropdown. Note: if you make edits to the hours while an existing schedule is selected, those changes will update the availability schedule itself — meaning all other scheduling pages using the same schedule will also be affected. Zeeg warns you about this directly in the interface.

    2. Set custom hours - Select Custom hours from the dropdown to define availability that applies to this scheduling page only. These hours are completely independent — editing them will not affect any other scheduling page or any of your saved availability schedules.

    3. Create a new availability schedule - If you want to save a new set of hours as a reusable schedule, select + Create new from the dropdown. This creates a new availability schedule that you can name and apply to other scheduling pages in the future — without leaving the scheduling page editor.

Date Override option

If you look at the image above, you’ll find this option. Regardless of which availability option you choose, you will always see a Date Override section at the bottom of the availability panel. Date overrides let you define exceptions to your regular availability for specific dates — without changing your overall schedule.

This is useful when your availability on a particular day differs from your usual pattern, for example a public holiday, a half day, a day where you have an extended availability window, or a period where you are fully unavailable.

To add a date override, click + Add Override, select the date, and set the hours you want to be available on that day — or mark it as fully unavailable. Date overrides always take priority over your regular weekly hours.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Custom hours and an availability schedule?

Custom hours apply to one scheduling page only and are not saved or reusable. An availability schedule is a named set of hours you create once and can apply across multiple scheduling pages. If you find yourself setting the same custom hours on several pages, it's worth creating an availability schedule instead.

If I edit an existing availability schedule from within a scheduling page, will other scheduling pages be affected?

Yes, if they also use it. When you select an existing availability schedule and make changes to the hours, those changes will update the schedule itself and will be reflected on all scheduling pages that use it. Zeeg shows a warning in the interface to remind you of this. If you only want to change one page, switch to Custom hours first.

Can I create a new availability schedule without leaving the scheduling page editor?

Yes. Select + Create new from the availability dropdown inside the scheduling page editor. The new schedule will be saved and available to apply to other scheduling pages in the future.

What happens if I add a Date Override?

The override applies only to the specific date you select and takes priority over your regular weekly hours. For example, if you are normally available Monday to Friday 9:00–17:00 but you add a Date Override marking a specific Monday as unavailable, no slots will be shown on that day. Date overrides do not affect any other dates.

Do Date Overrides apply to all scheduling pages or just this one?

If you set a Date Override while using Custom hours, it applies to this scheduling page only. If you set it while an availability schedule is selected, the override is saved to that schedule and will affect all scheduling pages using it.
