We’re sharing this release note ahead of schedule to give you an early look at what’s coming. All new features and bug fixes listed below will go live over the weekend (August 24) and be available for use from Monday, August 25.

👤 Link People Directly in Checklists

Where: Admin Portal (set up and view) + App (use)
Who should read: Super Users, Managers, Educators

What’s new:

You can now link specific children to checklists so their key details such as date of birth, gender, parent contact information, fill in automatically using existing records in 1Place.

Why it matters:

  • No more typing the same details repeatedly

  • More accurate, consistent records

  • Easily filter completed checklists by child for quick lookups

Best for: Medication records, child info forms, behaviour reports (Checklist module).

📂 Attribute Uploader - Bulk Add Attributes Faster

Where: Admin Portal
Who should read: Super Users

What’s new:

Upload attributes in bulk with a provided Excel template instead of adding each manually.

Why it matters:

  • Speeds up large-scale setup

  • Works alongside smarter dropdown lists for even quicker manual edits

To set up:


🔽 Smarter Dropdown Lists

Where: Admin Portal
Who should read: Super Users, Managers

What’s improved:

When you search in a dropdown list and click “Select All,” it now applies only to the filtered items avoiding accidental bulk selections.

Where you’ll notice this: Checklist, Ticket, and (new) Incident registers, plus Aliases and Attributes setup pages


📊 Faster Navigation for Large Records

Where: Admin Portal
Who should read: Super Users, Managers

What’s new:

  • Record counts are now visible at the top of each register

  • You can set how many records show per page

Best for: Large organizations or long-time 1Place users managing high volumes of checklists, tickets, or incidents.

Additional upgrade: We’ve updated the page display options. You can now choose to view 10, 20, 50, or up to 100 items at a time.


⚠️ Temporary Menu Change – Hazards

Where: Admin Portal
Who should read: Super Users

The Hazards register has temporarily moved from Health and Safety to Settings. This is part of an update to make navigation more consistent. A refreshed Hazards feature will launch in early 2026.


⏰ Easier Time and Date Entry – Fewer Mistakes

Where: App - Across Checklists, Incidents and Tickets
Who should read: Managers, Educators

The problem: Old time pickers sometimes caused incorrect times to be logged (e.g., 11 PM, when centers are closed).

The fix: The new time/date selector has a clearer AM/PM picker to reduce errors.

Why it matters: More accurate record keeping for compliance and reporting.


🔗 Direct Links in Incident Emails

Where: All users (email notifications)
Who: Super Users, Managers

What’s new: Incident emails now include a button that takes you straight to the incident record.

Why it matters: Area managers and supervisors can review and respond faster, no extra searching.


🛠️ Bug Fixes and Updates

Incidents

  • H&S Dashboard Widgets: Severity and Type of Injury display correctly again.

  • PDF exports fixed for both “Details Only” and “Full Report.”

  • Archived Rooms no longer appear in new incidents; linked incidents remain searchable.

  • Activate/Deactivate incidents directly on the New Incident page.

  • Audit trail now records all incident activation/deactivation actions.

  • Notification Rules page works even if People module is disabled.

Checklists

  • Lock icon displays for all users in Checklist Register.

  • Warning message appears when attempt to edit locked checklists.

  • Checklist menu navigation improved with a dropdown list for quicker access.

Settings & Layout

  • Attributes and PDF Layout pages updated to modern UI.
