Getting Started with the Onboarding Wizard

In this article, we’ll guide you through what to expect across each step of the Onboarding Wizard to set up your 1Place account. Let’s dive in!

Have you activated your account?

💡If you have already activated your account and logged into 1Place, skip to the next section

Welcome to 1Place Childcare! When you sign up with us, you should receive an email to activate your login for 1Place. To activate your account, find this email and click the link displayed below.

Note: If you cannot locate the email titled "1Place Childcare Application - Please activate your account" in your Inbox, please check your Spam or Junk Folder. Please contact the support team at support@1placeonline.com if you have not received this email.

The Activation page will open—this is where you’ll set up your login password.

Just a quick heads-up: your password needs to be at least 10 characters long and include:

  1. One upper-case letter

  2. One lower-case letter

  3. One number

What do I need to prepare?

After you successfully log in to the Admin Portal, the Onboarding Wizard will pop up to guide you through the setup. Just follow the prompts to enter your center/centre/service’s details.

To complete the onboarding process with ease and without interruptions, make sure you have all the necessary details ready.

The Onboarding Wizard has 7 main parts including the following:

  1. Welcome Message

  2. Organization

  3. Centers

    1. List of all centers/services and center manager emails.
      This will create logins for each Center Manager.

  4. Classrooms

    1. List of all classrooms for each centers/services

    2. This will create a shared login for each classroom

  5. Other Areas

    1. List of any other key areas in your center (e.g. kitchen, bathrooms, playgrounds, art room, laundry)

    2. Login will NOT be created for these areas.

    3. They are mainly for scheduling checklists, logging incidents and creating tickets.

  6. Users

    1. List of first and last name and email address of other key users (e.g. Person in charge, Responsible Person, Owner - if not center manager)

    2. If you have more than 1 center, please note these key users will gain access information across ALL centers. You can modify each user's access under Settings > Users.

  7. Password

    a. This will provide a temporary password for all of the logins generated in the above step 3, 4 and 6.

Once submitted, you will receive a summary of information you have entered for your reference.​

Oops! I closed the window accidentally, what do I do?

If you accidentally close the Wizard window or can't finish it in one session, you can re-open it by clicking on "Complete Onboarding Wizard" at the top left corner:

All the details you entered previously are saved and you can start from where you left off the last time.
