Managing Dashboard Users & Roles

Understand owner vs. manager permissions and learn how to invite users, edit access, and reset 2FA settings.

Understanding Roles & Dashboard Permissions

Your Snappy role determines your level of administrative access across accounts and settings:

  • Dashboard Owners: Have full access to Company Settings and all sub-accounts across the organization.

  • Dashboard Managers: Have access only to assigned sub-accounts and cannot access global Company Settings.

To check your role: Click your initials in the top-right corner of the dashboard—your assigned role will appear directly below your name.

Dashboard Owner Controls

Owners manage global user access, permissions, and security settings across all accounts.

Accessing User Management: Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the upper right-hand corner > Company > Users.

  • Invite Users: Click Invite Users, enter the recipient's email address, and select their role (Owner or Manager with specific account assignments).

  • Edit User Access: Hover over the three dots and select either Edit permissions or Change role to adjust assigned sub-accounts or specific dashboard permissions.

  • Remove Users: Hover over the three dots > Remove User.

  • Reset 2FA: Hover over a user's profile → click the three dots icon → select Reset 2FA. This automatically sends a 2FA reset email with login instructions to the user.

Dashboard Manager Controls

Managers can add new administrators to help manage gifts within their specific assigned sub-account.

Inviting a New Account User:

  1. Navigate to Account Settings in the left-hand menu.

  2. Select the Manage Users tab → click Invite Users.

  3. Enter their email address to send an automated dashboard invitation.

Managing Role Changes & Offboarding

  • Removing a Manager: Contact your account’s Dashboard Owner to delete manager accounts.

  • Departed Owners: If your account Owner has left the company, contact Snappy Support via the dashboard live chat or email help@snappy.com to reassign ownership.
