How to import valve data in ValveTrack using Excel

When you are managing valve data (attributes) for hundreds of valves it is difficult to do updates of multiple valves in one go. Perhaps there are errors in the existing data or the data has been received at a later stage. In any case, ValveTrack has a powerful tool to update existing valve data. The demo video below gives you a demo of the tool.

Navigate to the Valve list

Download the Excel template

The Excel template is downloaded to your Download folder

The Excel template contains all the valves that is currently stored in ValveTrack for the current field:

All rows with a GUID exists in ValveTrack and all attributes except the GUID can be changed. A change log will be maintained for all valve attributes.

The validation rules explained in the attributes section also applies to doing update.

Simply make a few changes to some of the valves:

Uploading the Excel template

Save the Excel file and click on the Upload template button

The file is validated

Press Submit template and check out the valve list:
