Why Does Bitnob Terminate Cards?

The Bitnob system automatically terminates cards after continuous failed transactions due to insufficient funds to maintain financial security and mitigate associated risks. This policy ensures responsible use and protects customers from potential misuse or penalties that arise from frequent insufficient fund scenarios.

Therefore, your card may be terminated after repeated failed transactions due to insufficient funds. Here’s how the system works:

  1. Failed Transactions: If transactions on your card fail multiple times because of insufficient funds, your card will initially be frozen to prevent further issues.

  2. Automatic Termination: If failed deductions continue to occur while your card is frozen, it will be terminated as an automated response.

  3. Penalty and Refund: Following the termination, a $1 penalty fee is deducted and the balance on your card will be credited back to your USD wallet after the deduction.

Notification and Counter Features

When your card is terminated, an email notification is sent to inform you of the status change, along with an explanation of why it occurred. Additionally, the counter on your cards page displays the number of cards you have created on your account. When you attempt to terminate a card, you also get a prompt showing the number of cards you have terminated and the number of card creation attempts you have left. This helps you stay aware of your card usage and track terminations over time.

Reaching the Limit: What to Do Next

If you have terminated five cards, you will need to submit an appeal to request permission to create one last card. This appeal process is crucial to ensure that you are ready to manage your card responsibly going forward.

Important note: If this final card is also terminated, you will not be able to create another card again.
