Smarter Prioritization with Rules & Alerts

Wouldn’t it be nice if Apricot could surface risks and opportunities for your staff to prioritize? You are collecting so much important information about your Participants’ situations and progress. Why not let Apricot flag priorities for you to address. Rules & Alerts can do just that!

For those of you on our Apricot Pro and Enterprise packages, this automation feature is available to help you keep track of urgent situations and pending actions. You can configure custom "Rules" based on your organization’s needs and the unique data you are tracking. Apricot will then "Alert" the chosen staff when those situations arise.

We know that when you’re looking for information, you don’t want to have to search multiple messages or platforms to find what you need. That’s why all of the resources you know and love can now be found in our new, consolidated Resource Center!

Bonterra Central - A community for doers of good

Bonterra Central will be your all-in-one destination for everything you need to succeed with Apricot. With a powerful unified search, you’ll be able to quickly find training resources, help articles, product updates, webinars, and more—all in one place.

As part of this launch, we’re also introducing a vibrant customer community forum where you can ask questions, share insights, and connect with other Apricot users to make the most of your software experience.

Plus, if you have an Apricot training subscription, you’ll soon have a new home for all your paid training content right within Bonterra Central.

Experience easier login access in January 2026

We’re excited to announce that in the new year, you’ll enjoy a faster, smoother, and more reliable login for all your Bonterra tools — including Apricot!

Beginning in January of 2026, we’ll replace the existing login page with a new experience that keeps your current credentials, adds built-in security enhancements to protect your organization and program data, and makes it even easier to access the Apricot tools you know and love — plus new fundraising tools to come!


Events & Training

Apricot Re-Certification Exam is Now Live!

As part of our revamped Administrator Certification program, we are now offering a biannual check-in to help you stay up to date on all the latest releases. Don’t worry, it’s only 5-10 questions and gives you the chance to show off your continued expertise!

An updated re-certification exam will be available to all Certified Administrators twice per year to maintain the badge. If you haven’t explored certification yet, we’d love to tell you more. Stop by one of our prep courses to see if you have what it takes!


Apricot: Product Updates
Thursday, December 17th at 1:30pm CT

This expert-led product release event will provide an updated look at what has changed in Apricot during the past month.

We’ll dive into our most recent product releases, experience a live demo of any applicable changes, and provide you with time to get your questions answered during an extended Q&A session.

The presentation and demonstration portion of our session will last around 20-30 minutes, leaving ample time for you to ask questions and get clarification on any product enhancements we cover.


HMIS-Specific

Ask the Experts: HMIS - Recording Now Available!

Earlier this month, we hosted an interactive Ask the Experts Session, where attendees had direct access to our rotating panel of Bonterra professionals and were able to pick their brains on HMIS-specific questions and issues.

We’re sharing the recording of this session here so you can see how valuable these sessions can be. Each session features a mix of experts from teams like Digital Learning, Training, Product, Support, and Client Success - so you’ll always get helpful insights from the folks who know Apricot best.

We’ll be hosting more HMIS-specific sessions in the future - and we hope you’ll join us for the valuable tips, real-world reporting examples, and new ideas we’ll share. Whether you bring a question or just want to listen in, stay tuned and join us to get the most out of your Apricot platform!

  • Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Monthly Uploads:
    Upload period - December 1st - 7th, 2025

QUARTERLY:

  • Runaway Homeless Youth (RHY) Quarterly Reporting funded by HHS:
    Upload period (Q1 FY 2026) - January 19th - 30th, 2026

  • Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project (YHDP) Quarterly Report:
    Deadline (Rounds 4/5/6/7) - January 30th, 2026
    Note: Beginning with these reports, YHDP quarterly reporting will be cumulative

  • Special NOFO Quarterly Performance Report (QPR):
    Deadline - January 30th, 2026

ANNUAL:

  • Longitudinal Systems Analysis (LSA):
    Deadline - January 16th, 2025 at 11:59pm PT
    LSA data collection opened in HDX on November 10th, 2025

  • Special NOFO Annual Performance Report (APR):
    Deadline - December 29th, 2025


Recommended Resources

If you’re ever in need of a quick answer to an HMIS question, or you need a refresher on some of the HMIS functionality, we recommend reviewing the articles we have available.

  • We know that managing data for HMIS can be a challenge, especially when presented with minor data entry errors that can cause a domino effect that’s hard to quickly resolve. That's why we’ve created a comprehensive best practices guide for Apricot for Homeless Services (AHS) users and ETO.

  • Do you have new users learning how to enter data into your system for HMIS? Or perhaps you would like a guide to reference back to as needed? If so, these articles cover the basics of data entry when it comes to HMIS for Apricot and for ETO.

  • Running and exporting the different HUD Compliance Reports and the HMIS CSVs is a vital element in Apricot and ETO HMIS. If you are not familiar with this process or need a refresher, learn more for Apricot and for ETO.

Other Announcements

Action Required: State Sales Tax Exemption certificates needed!

If your organization is exempt from state sales tax - Bonterra needs a copy of your State Sales Tax Exemption certificate as soon as possible, in order to honor that exemption.

Now is the time to ensure that your exemption is on record with us to avoid any unnecessary charges. Keep an eye out for an email from us, with further details on how you can submit these certificates.
