Impact Hub Authors can create reports using datasets generated from Apricot Data Standards. Creating a report is the first step toward building dashboards and visualizing your data in Impact Hub.
You must have Author or Author Pro access to create reports.
Before you start
Make sure the following are true before creating a report:
Your Apricot site is connected to Impact Hub.
At least one Apricot Data Standard has been published.
Enough time has passed for the dataset to be created (datasets are created overnight after publication).
You are signed in as an Impact Hub Author or Author Pro.
Step 1: Open Builder
To begin, open the Builder page.
Sign in to Impact Hub at reporting.bonterra.network.
From the left-side navigation menu, select Builder.
The Builder page displays a list of reports you have access to and the option to create a new report.
Step 2: Start a new report
From the Builder page, select Create report.
The New report modal opens.
Step 3: Name the report and select datasets
In the New report modal:
Enter a report name.
Select one or more datasets to include in the report.
At least one dataset is required.
Select Save.
Available datasets are generated from published Apricot Data Standards and are processed before they appear in Builder.
Step 4: Begin building your report
After you save:
The new report opens automatically in Builder.
Fields from the selected dataset or datasets appear in the Fields list.
You can begin adding visuals, filters, calculations, and layout elements.
At this point, you’re working inside the Builder workspace, where report design and configuration take place.
Step 5: Rename a report (optional)
You can rename a report at any time while working in Builder.
With the report open in Builder, select File, then Rename.
2. Update the report name.
3. Press Enter to save the change.
The updated name appears in the Builder report list. You may need to refresh the page to see the change.
Renaming a report does not change the name of any dashboards published from it.
Important things to know
You can only create reports using datasets generated from Apricot Data Standards.
New datasets appear in Builder the day after a Data Standard is published.
Apricot data updates sync into Impact Hub approximately every two hours.
Reports are saved in Builder and can be updated as you continue working.
