Movement Scheduler

Movement Scheduler

The Movement Scheduler gives you a visual overview of all your Dispatches, Deliveries, Return Requests, and Returns in one place.

Whether you are planning the day ahead or keeping an eye on live movements, everything is displayed in a calendar format showing both allocated and unallocated work at a glance.

Getting There

Navigate to Rental and Sales Orders > Movement Scheduler from the left-hand menu.

Schedule View and Timeline View

In the top left corner, a toggle lets you switch between two views depending on how you prefer to work.

Schedule View

Vehicles are displayed along the top of the screen and time runs vertically downwards, giving you a portrait-style calendar layout.

Timeline View

Vehicles are displayed down the left-hand side and time runs horizontally across the screen, giving you a landscape-style layout that makes it easy to see the full shape of a day at a glance.

Reading the Screen

Unallocated Movements

Any movements that have not yet been assigned to a vehicle are listed in the left-hand panel. These are your outstanding jobs waiting to be planned into the day.

Vehicles

Depending on which view you are in, available transport vehicles are displayed either along the top or down the left-hand side. Each vehicle shows its name, a photo, and its item number (registration plate).

Quick Tip: Vehicles must have the Movement Vehicle toggle enabled on their stock level record to appear in the Movement Scheduler.

Current Time Indicator

In Timeline view, a vertical blue line shows the current time, making it easy to see where you are in the day relative to your planned movements.

Color Coded Tiles

Each movement tile is color coded by movement type, so you can tell at a glance whether something is a dispatch, delivery, return request, or return without having to click into it. Each tile displays the movement number and the name of the allocated driver.

Working With Movement Tiles

Movement tiles can be dragged, stretched, and moved across vehicles and across the timeline of the day, making it straightforward to reassign or reschedule work without leaving the screen.

Viewing Movement Detail

Click on any tile to open the movement detail panel.

The first tab shows:

  • Driver

  • Document Number

  • Rental Order

  • Account Name

  • Address

The second tab shows Items, with condition indicators for each piece of equipment:
