Cascade Order Dates

The Cascade Order Dates setting controls how date changes are applied across an order. When enabled, updating an order date automatically updates related items. When disabled, dates can be managed individually on each item.

Why Use Cascade Order Dates?

  • Enable it to save time and keep dates consistent across your order.

  • Disable it when you need greater flexibility and want to control dates for each item independently.

Enable or Disable Cascade Order Dates

  1. Go to System Setup.

  2. Open Company Details

  3. Edit

  4. Go to preferences

  5. Choose whether to:

    • Enable the setting to automatically apply date changes to related order items.

    • Disable the setting to manage item dates individually.

  6. Click Save to apply your changes.

How It Works

When Enabled

  1. Open an order.

  2. Change the order's start or end date.

  3. Save the order.

  4. Any related items that use the order dates are automatically updated to match.

When Disabled

  1. Open an order.

  2. Change the order's start or end date.

  3. Save the order.

  4. Item dates remain unchanged.

  5. Edit individual items separately if different dates are required.
