ProfitDesk settings control how the whole module behaves — how listings are priced and created, which purchases are imported automatically, how returns are valued, and where your data is routed. You will find them under Settings inside ProfitDesk.
Each section below can be expanded on its own. If you are setting up ProfitDesk for the first time, work through them in order.
Listing Automation
Listing Automation
Auto Create Listing
When enabled, ProfitDesk will automatically create Amazon listings for newly added products through ProfitDesk. You can also choose the delay, which determines how long ProfitDesk should wait before creating a listing after a purchase has been tracked. And you can select which FBM shipping group template should be applied to FBM listings.
After that you can choose the marketplaces where the auto-creation should be used or not.
Pricing Rules
The Pricing Rules determine the price at which ProfitDesk creates new listings. Depending on your preference, you can use either a simple pricing setup or configure more advanced profitability-based pricing rules.
Beginner Mode
Beginner Mode provides a simple pricing setup based on a selected Amazon reference price.
First, choose the Reference Price that ProfitDesk should use as the basis for its calculation:
Current Buy Box
30-Day Buy Box Average
60-Day Buy Box Average
90-Day Buy Box Average
You can then define a Markup Percentage for each marketplace individually.
Example: if the 30-Day Buy Box Average is €100 and the markup is set to 20%, ProfitDesk will create the listing at €120.
Advanced Mode
Advanced Mode allows you to create listings based on specific profitability targets rather than a simple markup. For each marketplace, you can configure the following.
Reference Price
Select the Amazon price that should be used as the pricing reference — for example the current price, or the 30, 60 or 90-day Buy Box average.
Rule Type
Choose how ProfitDesk should calculate the target price.
Markup | Adds a fixed percentage on top of the selected reference price. |
Target Profit | Calculates a listing price that aims to achieve the desired profit margin in %. |
Type
Choose between ROI or Margin as a value.
Behavior
The Behavior determines whether ProfitDesk should use the calculated target price or compare it with the Amazon reference price.
Calculated Target Price | Always uses the calculated target price. |
Higher Price | Uses the higher value between the calculated target price and the selected Amazon reference price. |
Example: if the calculated target price is €280 but the Amazon reference price is €300, ProfitDesk will create the listing at €300. This helps prevent listings from being created below the current market price.
Missing Amazon Fee Data
If Amazon fee information is unavailable for a product, ProfitDesk automatically increases the selected reference price by 50% when calculating the listing price. This acts as a safety mechanism to reduce the risk of underpricing.
Reuse SKU
When enabled, ProfitDesk will reuse an existing SKU for the same ASIN instead of generating a new one.
You can define a Reuse Timeframe, which determines how recently the existing SKU must have been created to be reused. For example, if the timeframe is set to 24 hours, ProfitDesk will reuse SKUs created within the last 24 hours.
You can also set the timeframe to Always, causing ProfitDesk to always reuse an existing SKU for the same ASIN whenever one is available.
A2A Auto-tracking
A2A Auto-tracking
The A2A Auto-Tracking feature automatically imports purchases from your connected Amazon Business account into ProfitDesk as tracked orders. This eliminates the need to manually add purchases and ensures that new orders are processed automatically.
Auto Track Amazon Business Purchases
When enabled, all new purchases from your connected Amazon Business account will automatically be added to ProfitDesk as tracked orders.
Match Warehouse by Ship-To Address
When enabled, ProfitDesk automatically assigns each tracked purchase to the warehouse that matches the Amazon shipping address.
Until the order has shipped and the final shipping address is known, the purchase remains only partially imported and no listing will be created.
Starting Date
Choose when ProfitDesk should begin tracking purchases automatically. You can either:
Track from now and only import future purchases.
Select a Custom Date to import purchases starting from a specific date.
All purchases from the selected date onward will be automatically tracked.
Prep Center
Prep Center
The PrepCenter Settings allow you to connect your prep center directly to ProfitDesk. Once connected, purchases and inbound shipments can be automatically announced and transferred to your prep center, reducing manual communication and streamlining your logistics workflow.
Adding a PrepCenter
To connect a prep center, click Add PrepCenter and select your provider from the list of supported prep centers. You will typically need to provide:
An API Token
Your Merchant ID
The prep center address and contact information
In most cases, the address details are automatically loaded from the prep center and can be adjusted if necessary.
Supported Prep Centers
ProfitDesk supports a growing number of prep centers across Europe.
If your prep center is not currently available, please contact our team. We are continuously expanding our integrations and will be happy to evaluate whether we can add support for your prep center in a future update.
Amazon SKUs
Amazon SKUs
SKU Format Builder
The SKU Format Builder allows you to create a custom SKU structure for all newly created listings.
You can combine different data fields, arrange them in any order, and customize the format to match your inventory management workflow. A live preview shows exactly how the generated SKU will look before you save your changes.
SKU Label Format
The SKU Label Format settings allow you to configure how FNSKU labels are printed.
You can choose between different printer types and label layouts to ensure that labels are generated in a format compatible with your printing setup. These settings are used whenever FNSKU labels are created through ProfitDesk.
Returns
Returns
The Returns Settings determine how ProfitDesk calculates the value of returned products based on their condition.
Start Date
Choose which returns should be included in ProfitDesk. You can either display all returns or only returns from a specific date onward.
Price Reduction
Define a percentage reduction for each item condition. When ProfitDesk calculates the value of a return, it uses the selected reference price and applies the configured reduction.
Example: if a product in Used – Like New condition has a market value of €100 and you set a 10% reduction, ProfitDesk will calculate the return value as €90.
Refurbished and Collectible Items
If you sell refurbished or collectible products, you can enable additional condition-specific reductions for these item types.
Warehouses, Strategies and Sheets
Warehouses, Strategies and Sheets
In the ProfitDesk settings you can also add multiple warehouses, individual sourcing strategies and sheets. Every time you track an order with ProfitDesk, you can select the warehouse the order is shipped to, the sourcing strategy you used to find the product, and whether the order should be assigned to a specific sheet.
These settings matter for Purchase Analytics — for example, to see which sourcing strategy was the most profitable within a given timeframe.
Discord notifications
Discord notifications
The Discord Notifications settings allow you to choose which ProfitDesk events should trigger a notification in your connected Discord server.
Before using this feature, make sure that your ProfitPath account is connected to the ProfitPath Discord Bot.
You can enable or disable notifications for the following events:
Listing Created | Fires whenever ProfitDesk successfully creates a new Amazon listing. Useful if you use automatic listing creation and want to confirm it worked. |
Prep Business Inbound Created | Fires whenever a new inbound shipment is announced to your connected prep center. |
New Return | Fires when a new customer return is detected for one of your orders, so you can act on it in the Customer Returns module. |
New Reimbursement | Fires whenever Amazon issues a new reimbursement, so you do not have to check the Reimbursements module manually. |
