Orders

Here you can track all your purchases you made

Written by Alexander Czech

After configuring your settings and connecting your Amazon Business account to ProfitDesk, you can start using the Orders section.

The Orders tab contains all purchases that have been tracked in ProfitDesk.

If you have connected your Amazon Business account and enabled A2A Auto-Tracking in the settings, ProfitDesk may already have imported your existing Amazon Business purchases automatically.

When you connect a new Amazon Business account, you can follow its first sync live: the account dropdown shows the progress per account, and a tooltip lists every account that is currently syncing.

Alternatively, you can manually add purchases by clicking + Track Order in the top right corner. You can also import purchases from external tools using the Import function. Importing and exporting orders is covered in a separate guide.

The Orders table

In ProfitDesk under Orders, each order is shown as one row with the columns Order Data, Image, Product Data, Status, Price and Profitability.

The Order Data card bundles everything about the order itself: supplier, order total, order number, arrival status, invoice number, Sheet, warehouse, notes and prep center status. You can edit all of these fields directly in the table, without opening the order.

The purchase date is shown on the product image. If ProfitDesk creates a listing for an order, you can follow its creation steps from queued to complete.

Don't need every field? Under View → Columns → Order Data you can hide individual fields, and the card shrinks to the ones you keep.

Tracking a New Order

To track a new purchase, click + Track Order.

You will first be asked to enter the product you want to track. This can be done using either the product's ASIN or EAN.

After selecting the product, you will be taken to the Order Tracker.

Order Tracker

Within the Order Tracker, you can enter all relevant information about your purchase.

This includes:

  • Purchase price

  • Shipping costs

  • Expected selling price

  • Purchase date

  • Warehouse destination

  • Sheet assignment

  • Strategy assignment

  • Additional order information

ProfitDesk automatically loads current marketplace prices for the regions you have selected and calculates key metrics such as:

  • Profit

  • Margin

  • ROI

You can also see whether you are eligible to sell the product in each marketplace. The marketplace status icons indicate your current eligibility and help identify marketplaces where additional approval may still be required.

In addition to the pricing and profitability data, ProfitDesk provides further product information that can help you analyze the opportunity before tracking the order.

Saving the Order

Once all required information has been entered, click Track Order.

The purchase will immediately be added to ProfitDesk and become available in your Orders overview, where it can be managed alongside your other tracked purchases.

Working with your orders

  • Amazon Business orders show the expected delivery date on the shipped step and the PO number in the table. You can filter by country and PO number.

  • Invoices show how many units they cover. Units you received beyond the ordered quantity appear in the discrepancy list.

  • Shipping costs: enter the shipping of an order in the Shipping field when you track it in the Order Tracker, or add it later in the Prices popover of the order. ProfitDesk splits it evenly across all units, includes it in the purchase price and profit, and shows it under the price in the Price column.

  • Carrier: if the carrier behind a tracking number can't be identified automatically, you can select it yourself.

  • Notes: click Add note in the Order Data card to write a note. Under Custom notes you can save your own notes with + and add them to any order in one click. Custom notes are shared with your whole team.

  • Favorites: with Add Orders to Favorites enabled (Settings → ProfitDesk → Automation), every ordered product is added to your favorites and to the ProfitDesk Orders group, so you can re-order it later.

Actions for selected orders

Select one or more orders with the checkboxes and open Actions. The menu shows every action that applies to your selection, for example changing the status, archiving, creating an FBA inbound, announcing to your prep center or printing FNSKU labels.

Merge orders

Bought several products in one order? Select them and choose Merge orders to combine them into one order. You then enter shipping and discount only once, and ProfitDesk splits them across all items. Unmerge splits a merged order up again.

Orders from the same supplier with the same order number get a merge suggestion. To have orders grouped automatically, turn on Group orders automatically under Settings → ProfitDesk → Automation → Other Automations. Orders with the same order number, or from the same supplier on the same day, are then shown as one cluster.

Create listings

Choose Create listings to list the selected orders straight from Orders. Your Listing Rules are applied automatically, and before you confirm you see which orders will be listed and why others are skipped.
