Add Creative lets you add new ad variations to a campaign that's already running, without stopping it or launching a new one. If your original creatives are starting to fatigue, or you just want to test a new angle alongside what's already live, this is how to do it.

When this is useful

  • Your current creatives have been running a while and performance is starting to dip

  • You want to test a new video or caption angle without resetting the whole campaign

  • You've got a new clip you want in the rotation, but the campaign is performing well and you don't want to stop it to make the change

New creatives run alongside your existing ones. Add Creative doesn't remove or replace what's already live.

Where to find it

Open the campaign in Campaign Insights and look for the Add creatives button. It's only available when:

  • The campaign's status is Active

  • The campaign already has ads running (a brand-new campaign still being reviewed by Meta won't show this option yet)

The image shows a dashboard with campaign details, billing information, and ad management options, including the ability to add creatives.

If you don't see the button on a campaign that meets both of those conditions, see "A note on availability" below.

How to add a creative

  1. Select your track — confirm or choose the track/playlist the new creative should promote.

  2. Pick your creatives — select from Soundlink's video library or your own uploaded videos, the same way you would when launching a campaign. See [Ads] Full Control: Choose Your Creatives for Paid Campaigns → for tips on choosing and captioning creatives.

  3. Confirm targeting tiers — the new creative runs within your campaign's existing tier setup. Review it here before continuing.

  4. Preview — check how the new creative will look before it goes live.

  5. Submit — the new creative is added to your campaign and enters review before it starts serving alongside your existing ads.

Things to know

  • Newly added creatives go through the same review as any new ad. Expect a short delay before they start serving.

  • Adding a creative doesn't restart your campaign or reset Meta's learning phase for your existing ads.

  • This adds to your creative rotation. It doesn't remove or pause any creative that's already running. To retire an underperforming creative, do that separately from the campaign's creative management view.

A note on availability

Add Creative is still rolling out and isn't turned on for every organization yet. If your campaign is Active with ads already running and you still don't see the Add creatives button, that's most likely why. Message us via the chat bubble and we can confirm whether it's enabled for your organization.
