Taking an exam in parts lets you split the exam into separate tests or lessons, each of which is reviewed individually. To use this feature, the “Manual Approval: By parts” option must be enabled in the exam settings:
Administrator Side
Administrators can see the full progress of each learner for every part of the exam and can perform the following actions:
View the status of each part;
Manually review learner answers;
Save review progress without completing the exam;
Approve or reject exam results.
After a learner submits a part of the exam, the administrator can review that part and save the progress. This feature allows the admin to temporarily pause reviewing a part without completing the entire exam. Progress is saved, and review can be continued later without the risk of losing any data:
Once all parts of the exam are reviewed, the admin clicks Approve or Reject – this finalizes the learner’s results. Approve confirms the successful completion of the exam:
⚠️ If Approve or Reject is clicked, any parts that have not yet been submitted for review will be marked as Unanswered, and the exam will be completed
Administrators also see an automatic provisional score assigned by the system after each part is completed and can manually adjust the score or add comments.
Each time a learner submits a part of the exam for review, the administrator receives a corresponding message.
The system provides convenient statistics for all parts submitted for review: it shows which parts are completed, which still need grading, and which have already been reviewed. This allows administrators to effectively track learners’ progress and quickly process tasks without losing any part of the exam:
To give learners maximum freedom in completing the exam at their own pace, the following navigation modes are available in the exam settings:
Sequential mode – learners cannot switch between questions (only between exam parts);
Back Enabled – learners can move between questions (and between exam parts) in any order:

Taking an exam in parts allows learners to:
View the entire exam content on a separate page;
Complete any part of the exam without starting from the first test;
See the status of each part using color codes:
Gray – part not yet started;
Blue – part completed and submitted for admin review;
Green – part reviewed by the administrator.
Each part of the exam is submitted for approval separately upon completion. After submitting a part, learners see the message:
Exam part sent for approval. Progress saved. This part is done. There are N other parts remaining in this stage:
