When creating a custom property, the Select type allows you to define a predefined list of options and assign only one value to a learner. To create a property with selectable options, click Create Property:
Enter the property Label and choose the Select type. A field for the first option will appear, along with an Add new option button to include additional values:
Add as many options as needed and fill in their values. If there is only one option, it cannot be deleted. If there are two or more options, each will have a delete icon:
You can also reorder options by dragging them up or down:
Optionally, you can set a Default Value. The dropdown is automatically populated from the created options. Any new learners with this property will receive the default value automatically.
Once all required fields are completed, click Create. The property will then appear in the main table.
Clicking on the property opens a page with a list of learners who have this property assigned, along with their selected values. To edit or add a value for a specific learner, сlick the pencil icon or the learner row:
Select the required value from the dropdown. Click Save:
To edit or delete a property сlick the three dots menu and select the desired action:
When editing a property, you can:
change the Label
update the list of options
modify the Default Value
If an option is already assigned to at least one learner it cannot be edited or deleted:
You can also update the property directly from a learner’s profile. To do this open the learner profile and click Manage Properties:
After that, select the required value from the dropdown and click Save:
