Filtering Reports by Learner Properties

In this article, you’ll learn how to use report filtering by learner properties: how to find specific learner segments, apply different filtering conditions, and analyze data more flexibly and effectively

Written by Kate

The filtering functionality allows you to segment report data and gain more accurate insights across different learner groups. With this feature, you can:

  • analyze progress by cities, departments, job roles, and more

  • quickly find specific learner segments

  • make more informed, data-driven decisions

This functionality is available in the following reports:

  • Learner Progress Report

  • Courses Progress Report

  • Quizzes Progress Report

  • Top Learners Report

📌 How Filtering Works

In the filter panel, you will find two additional sections:

  • Custom Properties

  • System Properties

Each property supports three filtering conditions:

  • Is - Shows records where the property value exactly matches the selected value. If multiple values are selected, records matching at least one of them will be displayed.

  • Is not - Shows records where the property value does not match the selected value. Records with empty or null values are excluded from the results.

  • Is unknown - Shows only records where the property value is missing or not set (null / empty).

To add a filter for a specific property, click Add filter:

Select the desired property and choose the required condition:

Click Show:

The system will automatically generate the report based on the selected parameters. ✅
