Why this can happen
If you cancelled your subscription but still saw a charge, it usually means one of these things happened:
the renewal was processed before the cancellation took effect
you cancelled a different account than the one with the active subscription
the charge was the final renewal for the period that had already started
you have more than one subscription or purchase linked to different platforms
First, check when you cancelled
Subscriptions renew automatically unless they are cancelled before the next billing date.
If you cancelled after the renewal had already gone through, the charge may still be valid for that new billing period.
In that case, you will usually keep access until the end of the paid period, even though the subscription is now cancelled going forward.
Check where you subscribed
Apple (iOS)
If you subscribed through Apple, Apple handles the billing and cancellation timing.
Open your Apple subscriptions and check:
whether Accentify still shows as active or expired
the renewal date
the date you cancelled
If the renewal happened before the cancellation was processed, Apple may still have charged you for that billing period.
Google Play (Android)
If you subscribed through Google Play, Google handles the billing and cancellation timing.
Open your Google Play subscriptions and check:
whether Accentify still shows as active or cancelled
the next billing date
the cancellation date
If the billing cycle renewed before cancellation took effect, the charge may still appear.
Web (Stripe)
If you subscribed through the Accentify website, your payment is handled through Stripe.
Check your confirmation or billing emails to see:
when the renewal happened
when the cancellation was made
which plan was renewed
If you’re unsure, email whatsup@accentify.co.uk and we’ll look into it.
Make sure you cancelled the correct account
This is a common issue.
You may have:
signed up with a different Apple ID or Google account
more than one Accentify account
an old subscription on one platform and a newer one on another
If you cannot find the active subscription where you expected it, you may be checking the wrong account or platform.
You may still have access after cancelling
Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not usually remove access immediately.
That means you can still use Premium until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
So it is possible to see:
subscription cancelled
access still active
a recent charge that had already renewed before the cancellation
