How do I find the allowed values for a marketplace field?
When mapping product data to a sales channel like Amazon, Target+ or Walmart, certain fields require specific, pre-defined values. For instance, a Target Audience field might only accept "Men", "Women", or "Unisex". You can easily find the correct values for any channel field by checking its Posting Template within Acenda.
Finding Allowed Values for a Single Item
Follow these steps to locate the accepted values for a specific field on a channel's posting template:
Navigate to Admin > Items and locate the item you wish to check.
Click on the Channel Mapping tab.
In the list of your connected channels, click the blue Posting Template link for the marketplace you are updating.
This will open a page displaying all the available fields for that channel. Locate the field name you need (e.g., target_audience).
Click on the field to expand its options. You will now see the list of allowed values.
Use one of these exact values to update your product's information, ensuring it syncs correctly with the marketplace.
Bulk Updating with a SuperTemplate
If you need to find these values and apply them to many items at once, using a Supertemplate is the most efficient method. This powerful tool allows you to manage channel-specific data for all your products in bulk via a spreadsheet.
