Every item in Acenda keeps a stock count for each warehouse, and that count drives the inventory Acenda sends to marketplaces such as Target Plus and Amazon. You can change the count for a single item by hand on its Inventory tab. This is the quickest way to correct one or two items, for example after a recount or a damaged delivery.
Changing lots of items? Use DATA TRANSFERS > Imports instead. See How to bulk update inventory with the Import tool.
Adjust inventory for one item
Click CATALOG > Items in the sidebar.
Find the item (searching by SKU is quickest) and click the eye icon on its row to open it. Clicking elsewhere on the row doesn't open the item.
Open the Inventory tab. The Overview at the top shows the item's totals. Below it is one row per warehouse, showing the warehouse ID, its name and when its stock was Last Modified.
Click the caret (^) at the left of the warehouse row you want to change. The row expands to show its details.
Enter the new total number of units in that warehouse in the Qty field. It must be a whole number, and negative numbers are allowed.
Enter the full count, not the number to add or remove.
Click Update. You'll see Updated Record, and the totals in the Overview recalculate.
Note: The warehouse row also has a cost. Cost can't be negative, and if you clear it, it saves as 0.
Warehouse missing from the list? If the item has no stock row for a warehouse yet, click Add new inventory detail below the table, choose the Warehouse, enter the Qty and click Add. If the page says There are no warehouses., create one first under CHANNELS > Warehouses. See How to add and manage warehouses.
Which items have an Inventory tab?
Items (variants): Yes. This is where you adjust stock.
Products (the parent that groups variants): No. A product holds no stock itself. Open its Variants tab instead. The Qty column shows each variant's stock, and the pencil icon next to it opens the same per-warehouse Qty and Update controls.
Kits: The Inventory tab is view-only. Kit stock is worked out automatically from the stock of its component items, so update the components instead.
How does Acenda calculate the inventory it sends?
The Inventory tab shows four numbers for each warehouse, and the Overview adds them up across all warehouses:
Quantity: The total physical units in the warehouse. This is the only number you can change on the Inventory tab.
Allocated: Units reserved for open orders. Acenda raises it when an order is assigned to the warehouse, and lowers it when that order ships or is cancelled. When an order ships, Quantity goes down by the same amount. You can't edit Allocated on the Inventory tab.
Not Available: Units held back from sale. Acenda only uses this number for warehouses that have Respect Allocations turned off.
On Hand: What's available to sell from that warehouse. For a warehouse with Respect Allocations on (the recommended setting), it's Quantity − Allocated. With it off, it's Quantity − Not Available.
Each sales channel receives the On Hand total from the warehouses mapped to it. If a channel has an inventory floor set, Acenda may send that channel less than the full amount.
Important: If a connected fulfillment provider or inventory system sends stock levels to Acenda (for example ShipHero, ShipBob, Shopify or NetSuite), its next sync replaces the Quantity you entered by hand. To make a correction stick, fix the count in that system and let it sync to Acenda.
When do marketplaces get the new count? Acenda doesn't send inventory the moment you click Update. It goes out on each marketplace's next scheduled inventory update, which is usually within the hour. Exact timing varies by marketplace.
Checking what was sent: Open the item's Channel Events tab and set Operation Type to Inventory. It shows the quantities Acenda sent to Target Plus, Walmart, TikTok Shop and Mirakl marketplaces. Amazon updates don't appear here. See How to track marketplace updates with Channel Events. The item's Change Log doesn't record inventory changes, so use the warehouse row's Last Modified time to see when stock last changed.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
Why do quantities show "Unknown"? The item's inventory list was too large to load in full, so Acenda shows Unknown with a warning instead of a total that could be wrong. If the inventory fails to load, click Retry. If it keeps happening, contact Acenda Support.
Why did my count change back? A connected fulfillment provider or inventory system probably synced its own count over yours. Correct the count in that system. Shipped orders also lower Quantity automatically.
Why does the marketplace still show the old quantity? Allow up to about an hour for the next inventory update. Then check the item's Channel Events tab to see what was sent. Make sure the warehouse is mapped to that channel (see How to add and manage warehouses), check whether an inventory floor applies, and look under CHANNELS > Item Issues for errors on the item.
How do I change Allocated? Acenda normally keeps Allocated up to date from your orders. If it's wrong, correct it with an inventory import that includes the allocated column. See How to bulk update inventory with the Import tool.
Why does the Inventory tab say kit inventory can't be edited? That's expected. Adjust the stock of the kit's component items instead.
What does "This variant has no inventory." mean? The item doesn't have a stock row in any warehouse yet. Click Add new inventory detail to create one.
