Connect and authenticate your Walmart Marketplaces account

Connecting your Walmart Marketplace account lets Acenda send your listings, inventory and prices to Walmart, bring Walmart orders into Acenda, and send tracking back to Walmart when orders ship.

Walmart connects through a secure authorization (consent) step: you sign in to Walmart and approve Acenda's access, so no API keys are needed. For an overview of the Integrations screen, see Connecting Sales Channels: How to Integrate with Acenda.

Before you start: Have the sign-in details for the Walmart Seller Center account you want to connect. You'll sign in to Walmart and click Authorize during setup. If you're adding Walmart for the first time, your Acenda plan needs an available Walmart install (see Step 1).

Step 1: Add a Walmart integration (new sellers only)

Skip this step if Walmart already appears under Sales Channels on your Integrations page.

  1. In the sidebar, under CHANNELS, click Integrations.

  2. In the Sales Channels section, click New.

  3. Select the Walmart US tile (or Walmart WFS if you're connecting Walmart Fulfillment Services), then click Add. You'll see "Sales Channel added successfully" and the new integration appears under Sales Channels.

Note: If Walmart isn't in the list, or you see "There are currently no integrations available to install", your plan has no free Walmart install. Contact Acenda Support to add one.

Step 2: Authorize Acenda on Walmart

  1. In the sidebar, under CHANNELS, click Integrations.

  2. Under Sales Channels, click your Walmart integration (in the list view, click Edit next to it).

  3. Open the Settings tab, then click Consent in the left-hand menu. It sits below General, Notifications and Actions.

  4. Click Start OAuth Consent Flow. Walmart opens in a new browser tab.

  5. Sign in to Walmart with your Seller Center account. Review the access Acenda is asking for, then click Authorize.

  6. Walmart sends you back to Acenda. Go back to the Consent section of your Walmart integration (refresh the page if it's still open) to confirm the connection.

Confirm it's connected

On the Consent section you'll see a green Consent has already been given. message, with Restart OAuth Consent Flow and Disconnect buttons below it.

On the Integrations page, a healthy Walmart integration has no red warning icon. Orders, inventory and other syncs start on their normal schedule, so allow about an hour for the first updates to appear.

Good to know: The other Settings sections control what syncs. Functionality Control turns order pulls, inventory, price, item content and fulfillment syncs on or off, and Inventory Control holds your inventory floor for Walmart. You can see what Acenda sent to Walmart on the integration's Channel Events tab.

Reconnecting or disconnecting

Walmart authorizations don't last forever, and they stop working if the access is revoked on Walmart's side. To reconnect, open Settings > Consent and click Restart OAuth Consent Flow (or Start OAuth Consent Flow), then sign in and click Authorize again.

Important: While the Walmart authorization is expired, revoked or disconnected, Acenda can't send inventory, prices or listings to Walmart, pull new Walmart orders or send tracking. Clicking Disconnect and then Confirm Disconnect removes the stored authorization straight away, and nothing syncs until you authorize again.

Never share your Walmart credentials: Don't send your Walmart password, Client ID or Client Secret to anyone, including Acenda Support. The consent flow connects your account without them.

Troubleshooting

  • A red warning icon ("Connection Unhealthy") shows on your Walmart integration: Acenda's calls to Walmart keep failing, usually because the Walmart authorization expired or was revoked. Reconnect it using Restart OAuth Consent Flow. The icon clears on its own after the next successful sync, and orders placed while you were disconnected normally come in automatically within about an hour.

  • Nothing happens when you click Start OAuth Consent Flow: Your browser may have blocked the new tab. Allow pop-ups for the Acenda admin and click the button again.

  • The Consent section still shows Start OAuth Consent Flow after you authorized: Refresh the page. If it still isn't connected, run the flow again and make sure you click Authorize, not Decline, on Walmart's screen.

  • Orders cancelled on Walmart stay open in Acenda: Turn on Pull Cancellations under Settings > Functionality Control (Push Fulfillments must also be on) and click Save. Acenda then cancels those items for you. To cancel an order from Acenda's side instead, see How to Cancel an Order in Acenda Admin.

  • You closed your Walmart seller account: The integration will keep showing as unhealthy. Contact Acenda Support and we'll turn the Walmart integration off for you.
