Whether or not typos or grammatical errors will impact your test

Updated over a year ago

Casper raters are trained to focus on the content of your answers and to disregard spelling and grammatical errors when evaluating responses. You will also not be penalized for using incomplete sentences or point form responses.

We encourage applicants to do their best to respond to all three questions, but we understand that this may be challenging within the 5 minute time limit. It is not uncommon for applicants to run out of time before they’ve finished typing their responses, so try not to worry about this!

We strongly encourage you to focus on the content of your responses and to use all of the time provided to complete the questions in each answer section.

We also recommend that you complete the Practice Test, which will help you become familiar with the test format and give you some practice working within the time limit. This is accessible from the Casper section of your Acuity Insights account, and can be completed as many times as you like. Please also visit the Test Prep and Resources sections of our website, where you can find useful tips for the test.

For more information about how the Casper test is scored, please see our article titled How the Casper Test is Scored.
