As a general rule, your test results apply to the admissions cycle for the next academic year. For example, if you're applying during the 2025–2026 admissions cycle to a US and Canadian program, your goal is likely to start your program in Fall 2026.
However, there may be exceptions—especially for:
Australian programs
Programs with multiple start dates
Mid-year intakes
To confirm important dates and deadlines, check out our Dates and Fees page. It includes:

We also strongly recommend visiting the websites of the programs you're applying to. This helps ensure you're registering for the correct test in the correct admissions cycle.
⚠️ Important:
Do not reserve your Casper test until you're sure you're selecting the right test type and the right cycle.
We do not offer refunds for tests reserved for the wrong cycle. (See point 9 of our Terms of Use for full details.)
Quick FAQ: Admissions cycle
Quick FAQ: Admissions cycle
Q1. What should I do before reserving my Casper test?
Confirm the correct test type and admissions cycle for your program. The admissions cycle determines which test dates are valid for your application.
Q2. Can I get a refund if I book the wrong cycle?
No. All test fees are non-refundable if you select the wrong cycle. Choosing the wrong admissions cycle means your test results may not be accepted by your programs.
