This guide walks you through the steps to connect your Shopify store to AdUp using the MCP (Model Context Protocol) system. By integrating Shopify, you’ll unlock advanced tracking, real-time insights, and powerful AI-driven checkout optimization — all with just a few clicks.

Step 1: Access the MCP Integration Dashboard

  1. Log in to your dashboard.

  2. Navigate to:
Data Integration (MCP) > Explore MCP Server

Step 2: Connect Shopify

  1. Click on the Shopify box.

A popup will appear titled “Manage Shopify MCP Connection.”

Fill in the details:

  • Shopify Access Token → Paste your generated Shopify access token.

📍 Where to find your Shopify Access Token:

    • Go to your Shopify Admin Panel.

    • Navigate to Apps > Develop apps (you may need to enable this option).

    • Click “Create an app”, give it a name.

    • Go to "Configuration", then "Admin API access scopes" – select required scopes (like read_orders, read_products).

    • Click "Install app", and then go to API credentials tab.

    • Click “Reveal token once” to get your Admin API Access Token.

⚠️ Keep this token secure! You can only copy it once.

  • My shopify Domain → Enter your full Shopify domain (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com)

  • Click “Update MCP” to save and connect.

✅ Once connected, the Shopify box will show:

Connected: Click to manage connection

🧠 Tips & Reminders:

  • Make sure your Shopify Access Token and Stripe Secret Key are correct and active.

  • If you’re unsure how to get your tokens/keys, contact our support team or refer to our token generation guides.

  • You can update or delete your connections anytime by clicking on the service box.
