How to Change Your Reminder Message

This article will talk you through how to change the wording being sent to your patients in their reminder messag

Usually practitioners will keep their reminder messages shorter than their confirmations, only including the vital information about the appointment including date, time and location.

Step 1 :

From the main menu, click to enter setiings.

Step 2 :

Once in settings head to SMS/Email templates, under the heading notifications.

Step 3 :

In this section, you can then choose the SMS template or Email template depending on which you have selected for your reminder message to be send as.

Step 4 :

Once you have selected the type, you can then head to the reminder template option and select the edit button.

Step 5 :

Then in this section, you will be able to free type what you would like your reminder message to say in the box provided.

Practitoners can include anything they like in their reminder messages. However, most practitioner will just keep this message short.

Step 6 :

You also have the option to insert 'tags' into your reminder message. These tags will pull through information about the patient and their appointment to the reminder like their name and appointment date and time.

REMINDER : If you are using a text message for your reminder, 1 credit is 160 characters. If your reminder message is more than 160 characters then 2 credits will be used.

Step 7 :

Once happy with what you have saved in your reminder template, hit update.


This will then update the reminder message which is sent to your patients a few days/ hours before their appointment.
