This article will talk you through how to connect to Mailchimp and begin syncing your patient email addresses from Aesthetic Nurse Software.
Connecting your ANS account to Mailchimp will streamline your email marketing. Ensuring your mailing list is always up to date.
To learn how to connect Mailchimp, watch our short video below. Alternatively, follow our simple steps.
Before getting started, please ensure the following;
You have an existing Mailchimp account (Register Here)
Mailchimp offers a free account for up to 500 contacts.
Step 1:
From the main menu, head to Settings.
Step 2:
Once in Settings, locate the "Integrations" section and click the Mailchimp icon.
Step 3:
Click the button "Connect Mailchimp Account"
Step 4:
You'll be re-directed to Mailchimp. Enter your credentials and click "Log in".
If you don't already have a Mailchimp account, click 'Create an Account'
Step 5:
You will be re-directed to ANS and prompted to select the "audience" in mailchimp that you would like to sync your ANS patients into.
Once you select the Audience, this will then pull all of your existing contacts from ANS into Mailchimp.
Any new patients added into ANS will now sync to your Mailchimp Audience automatically.
Please note:
If you do not select an audience, the sync will not work and patients will not transfer over to Mailchimp.
You can change the audience at any time. If you change the desired audience, all patient records that have synced across that have synced across will remain on the original audience and will also be added to the new audience.
If a patient's email address already exists in your Mailchimp audience, this will not be updated.
Unsubscribed vs Subscribed contacts
The marketing preference selected within the ANS patient record will pull through to Mailchimp and make the contact either subscribed or unsubscribed.
If your patients 'marketing preference' on ANS is unticked, this will make the contact "unsubscribed" in Mailchimp.
If your patients 'marketing preference' on ANS is ticked, this will make the contact "subscribed" in Mailchimp. If the patient then unsubscribes from an email sent via Mailchimp, this will reflect in ANS.
