This article shows you how to add an appointment into ANS from the patient record area of the software. An appointment needs to be within the software for our treatment documentation to be produced.

Step 1 :
From the main menu screen, head to the patient record section.
Step 2 :
This will take you to your patient list, where you can choose the patient you wish to book the appointment for.
Step 3 :
In the patient record, click the 'new' button which will start the process of booking the patient an appointment.
Step 4 :
A box will then appear allowing you to fill in your appointment details. Start with updating the appointment date.
Step 5 :
You can then update the time of the appointment using our timepicker.
Step 6 :
Your next option is to choose the clinic and practitioner for the appointment.
If a clinic or practitioner is not present in the drop down, you will just need to add these into the software. Search our additional guides to learn about this feature.
Step 7 :
Select the type of appointment you want to booking into your diary.
The type of appointment will determine what clinical pathway is created for your treatment documentation.
Step 8 :
Your next step is to choose if you wish to link the appointment to any previous appointments.
This is an optional area for booking an appointment. This section works by allowing practitoners to link consultations, treatments and reviews toegther fror one single clinical documentation pathway. Search our additional guides to learn about this feature.
Step 9 :
You can then choose the colour you would like the appointment to appear in your diary.
The colour of the appointment can be automated in your treatment settings of the software.
Step 10 :
Then, select the treatment and specific treatment type the patient is being booked in for.
If a treatment is not present in this section that needs to be booked into your diary, you will just need to add this into your treatment settings in ANS. To learn more about thsi section, head to our additional.
Step 11 :
If you would then like to add a note to the appointment which will then appear in the diary area. You can also select if you would like a confirmation to be sent to the patient via email or text message.
The confirmation message can be automated in your settings of the software. For more information about this section head to our additional guides.
Step 12 :
Once happy, hit the submit button to save the appointment.
Step 13 :
Once submit has been selected, the clinical pathway for your treatment documentation will appear which can then be filled in. Alternatively, the appointment will appear on the patient record for future reference.
