Cancelling An Appointment

Learn how to cancel an appointment within ANS.

This article will guide you through how to cancel an appointment within Aesthetic Nurse Software. There are two ways you can cancel your appointments within ANS depending on if you would like the cancelled appointment to be stored within the patient record or completely removed from the software.

Cancelling An Appointment

Step 1 :

From the main menu, choose the diary option.

Step 2 :

In the diary area, click on the day (number), to bring up the day view which contains the appointment you would like to cancel.

Step 3 :

You will then need to just click on the appointment you want to cancel in the diary and set the status to cancelled and the reason for the cancellation.

If you accidently click the incorrect status, you can always update this section by choosing another status. For further information on this section, head to our additional guides.

Step 4 :

Once selected as cancelled, you can view any cancelled appointments by heading to the show cancelled button on the daily view of the diary. This will show all cancelled appointments as greyed out compared to your booked appointments.

Step 5 :

This will also show in the cancelled section of the patient record for your patients appointment history.


Deleting An Appointment

Step 1 :

From the main menu, select the diary option.

Step 2 :

In the diary area, click on the day (number), to bring up the day view which contains the appointment you would like to remove.

Step 3 :

Once you have clicked on the appointment you wish to remove, you will be brought to an appointment box with a bin icon in the top right.

Step 4 :

You will then just need to confirm that you want to delete the appointment from the diary. This will then be removed from the diary.

You are able to reactivate any deleted appointments, if this is something that needs to be reverted.

Step 5 :

If you wish to bring the appointment back to show in the diary. Head to your settings and under the heading archived you will find an appointment section.

You will just need to find the appointment in the list and then choose to reactivate the appointment to bring it back into the diary.
