After Aether generates a new output, you’ll land on the Document Builder page.
You can also return to this page by:
Opening an existing output from your library, or
Clicking a shared link from a colleague.
Document Builder Layout
The page is split into three panes. Use the arrow icons on either side of the middle pane to expand/contract views.
Left-hand Pane: Edit the outline, slide content, and sources referenced in each slide.
Middle Pane: Preview your generated PowerPoint slides
Right-hand Pane: Edit/view original prompt, export and share.
Undo/Redo Changes
Use the buttons in the top right corner to move back to an earlier version. This includes reversing edits made by other users in previous sessions.
Left-hand Pane: Edit the outline, slide content, and sources
Outline
This tab shows an editable outline of the slides and slide content in your output. Hover over each headline to see further options for editing that slide.
Slide title: This can be edited. Click save to update.
Viewing slide content: Click the “>” dropdown to see key points.
Editing slide content: As you edit, Aether will regenerate that individual slide, re-collecting/sourcing information where available to support the change.
Edit titles or sub-bullet points.
Add a new point to a slide.
Remove an unwanted point, select the 'rubbish can' icon.
Adjust Tables/Charts date ranges or topics of tables/charts.
Save changes at the bottom of the slide dropdown.
Add new slides
Click the “+” icon at the bottom of the layout pane.
Add a title and key points. Aether will turn these into a narrative and draw supporting information from sources.
Click Save.
Reorder slides: Drag and drop slides using the icon to change their order; Aether will update the document flow.
Refresh a slide layout: If Aether's original layout is not ideal (formatting incorrectly, or incorrect table/chart format), you can select the refresh button and Aether will regenerate that slide
Sources
This tab shows an editable list of the sources used to create your output.
Referenced sources: Numbered markers show which sources are used on each slide.
View source content details: Click a source number or arrow to see the exact paragraph, data point, or chart referenced.
Removing sources: Toggle the yellow slider off; Aether will adjust affected slides.
Adding sources for fine-toothed comb reading: Add specific document/s for Aether to include as a source in the output document by clicking the '+ document' icon at the top of the source tab.
Documents added in this way are ingested and referenced in a more detailed way than those referenced through the normal workflow - imagine this is like reading through a source file with a fine-toothed comb. Aether will focus more on these source documents than others. You can:
Select existing document/s from the sources folder.
Upload new document/s from your computer for Aether to read, add to Aether’s vector database, and integrate into the new output.

Source footnotes and summaries as an appendix slide.
Middle Pane: Preview your generated PowerPoint slides
The middle pane shows your slides in real time as you edit. Expand or collapse panes as needed to focus on content or layout.
Right-hand Pane: Edit/view original prompt, export and share.
The right pane lets you refine your original request and adjust output settings.
Please note: making changes to the original prompt will cause the whole output to regenerate.
Name, description and content framing: Refine your original prompt or content framing (Presentation, Balanced or Pre-read).
Advanced options: Edit the tone of voice, objective, audience expertise, or time period to further tune your document output.
Changing the number of slides: To change the number of slides after the first version of an output is created, add or delete slides in the outline section in the left-hand pane of the screen. If you wish to change the number of slides significantly - say from 10 to 20 - it is best to start with a new output. Copy the content description from the existing output, click the '+' icon on the left-hand navigation toolbar to create a new output, and paste your content description.
Submit changes: Scroll down and click Submit to regenerate your slides with the updated settings.
Undo/Redo changes: The buttons in the top right-hand corner of the page return your work to an earlier version of an output. This includes reversing changes made by other users across previous sessions.
