Functional results are marked by KINNECT based on a matrix system, which highlights the risk factors and health concerns identified by the clinician and determines a grading from A to D on their functional capacity for the proposed role.

An "A" grading is the highest determination, signalling that the applicant is a very low-risk profile to complete the role and that no health concerns were identified. If, for instance, the applicant only reached 75% of the norms on grip strength, their grading may drop to a "B" with a note about reduced grip strength.

However, if the applicant weighed over 120kg and was applying for an underground mining operator role, they may be graded a "D" due to the weight restrictions on equipment. Upon submitting the functional result, this will all be determined and reviewed by KINNECT.
