This article will give you an overview of the mobile app for employees.

Install the ECB Staff app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

1. Mobile App Overview

Similar to the web portal, employees can pretty much do everything on the mobile app.

  • View their work schedule, timesheets, and the details of upcoming shifts

  • Apply for available shifts

  • Clock in and out of work

  • Request absences and unavailability.

It is recommended to use the web portal for editing profiles as not all options are available on the mobile app.

2. Schedule

This is your home screen. After you log in, you will see two tabs at the top of the screen. “My Schedule” and “Available Shifts”.

  • My Schedule: Shows the shifts that are either Confirmed, Completed, Approved, or Invoiced. You can identify shifts with their tags.

  • Available Shifts: Shows the shifts that are available for you to apply. There are two types of shifts, Open and Assigned.

  • Open Shifts: Shifts that are open for anyone to apply. You can identify it with an “open” tag.

  • Assigned Shifts: Shifts that are assigned to specific people. It can be identified with the “awaiting confirmation” tag.

3. The Me Tab

The second tab you see at the bottom of the home screen is the “Me” tab. At the top, it shows the profile picture, your name, and shifts due today. If a shift is due today, you will see clocking options at the top.

The “Me” tab is a user menu containing Available Shifts, My Schedule, Timesheets, Absence, Unavailability, Settings, and Log Out.

4. Clocking options

Clock in/clock out - clock in when you start your shift and clock out when you finish your shift.

Start break/end break - starting the break will pause the shift clock until you end the break. You can only clock one break per shift.

5. Timesheets

Timesheets are record sheets of your completed shifts where you can see the details of your earnings and whether your timesheet is approved.

6. Time Off

There are two options:

Unavailability indicates that you are unavailable to work on specific dates. These are unpaid and do not require manager approval for adding to the system. However, the manager may override it and add a shift. You will get a notification.

Absence indicates the paid leaves. Depending on your company policy you will get a certain number of leaves. After you add an absence, it will go to the manager. The manager may approve or reject. You will get a notification. The system won't let you add an absence if a shift already exists at that date.

7. Settings

On the settings page, you have the option to change the language, edit your Profile, Change Password, and view terms of service.

8. Notifications

The third tab you see at the bottom of the screen is the Notifications tab. Notifications help you keep track of things in real time. You can turn on/off app notifications.

These are app notifications. Email or SMS notifications can only be updated on the web portal.

It is recommended to use the web portal for editing profiles, as not all options are available on the mobile app.

If you are experiencing any problems with the web portal, you should first contact your employer directly.
