Shift Confirmation — how does it work?

Shift confirmation is a requirement for people to accept the shift requests that they have been assigned. When assigning shifts to people, you can have them confirm these shifts to acknowledge that they have seen the shift and can do it.

Adjust staff portal settings

To allow staff to acknowledge their participation, go to system settings, under the staff section, go to the “Portal” subsection, turn on the setting “Is staff confirmation required for the new shift?” and click on “Save all”.

As this setting is site-based, you need to enable the option on business unit's or site settings as well.

Waiting for confirmation

You can either allow the employee to confirm the shift or you can confirm the shift yourself (in case the employee wants to accept the shift but does not have access to a computer or mobile application at the moment). To confirm it yourself, select the shift, click on the “selected button” and select “confirmed”.

Employees will get a notification.

Please note! Requiring people to confirm the shifts is optional and depends on whether the setting “Is staff confirmation required for the new shift?” is switched on.

In either case, the admin can confirm the shift directly. Employees will get the notification “new shift assigned and confirmed by the agency”.
