This article will give you an overview of the assets functionality in Ajeero.

1. What is the module used for?


Assets Management helps you to keep track of different work-related equipment that is given to employees. Be it t-shirts, key cards, or company laptops.

Under the employee profile, you get an overview of company assets held by an individual. You can view, add, and return company assets.

Under the Assets page, you can see all the company assets, who they are assigned to, and if there are any assets in stock. You can also look at assets history and get an overview of assets written off.

2. Assets Listing Page

Assets page can be accessed from the main menu Administration → Assets.

The asset listing page gives you an overview of company assets. Who it is assigned to and whether the asset is in stock. You can filter, write off, add, edit, or delete the assets.

2.1 Add Assets

To assign assets to employees, it has to be added to the system. Click on Add to add a new asset. We have written an article that will help you add an asset to the system.

2.2 Filters

Filters help you to narrow down the list to specific criteria. You filter based on In-Stock, Signed Out, and Write Off. Select the filter and click on Refresh.

2.3 Asset listing columns

Name: Name of the item.

State: Indicates the current state of the asset. For example, In Stock means that the item is available to assign.

Price: Price of the item.

Deposit Required: Deposit to be paid by the employee at the time of sign out.

Signed Out To: Shows who currently have the asset or who was the last person who had it.

Signed Out On: Date of Sign Out.

Return Date: The date on which the asset will be returned.

2.4 Actions – Edit or Delete Assets

The Actions button at the end of each listing allows you to Edit or Delete the asset.

Click on the Edit button to Update or Write Off the asset. Once done, click on Save.

3. Assets History

The Assets history listing page gives you an overview of the activity related to the assets.

A date is a timestamp that shows the time when the asset was taken.

Assets show which asset the action was taken with. ​


Comments contain a description of the action that was taken.

Action by shows who took the action with the asset.

Release or Return form contains either an automatically generated asset release or a return form if relevant.

4. Assets on Staff Profile

The assets section gives you an overview of the assets the employee is currently holding and returned.

4.1 Add Assets

To add assets to staff, click on Add. We have written an article that will explain to you the process of adding an asset to staff.

4.2 Return

Select the asset and click on Return. It will bring the asset back to stock and generate a return form.

4.3 Assets listing column

Name is the name of the asset in the system.

Price: Indicates the price of the asset.

Released: The date it was released to the staff.

To Be Returned: The date it will be returned.

Deposit Paid In: Deposit paid by the employee.

Release Form: Auto-generated release form.

4.4 Assets History

The history section gives an overview of assets assigned to employees.

Name: Name of the Asset.

Released: Date of release.

Returned: Date of return.

Release Form: Auto-Generated release form.

Return Form: Auto-Generated return form.
