Your studio has decided to introduce the Akada Portal to your parents, and you're concerned about the questions that may arise. Don't worry. Akada Support has you covered. Below are some general questions and answers to help you with your parents!
HOW DO I ACCESS THE AKADA PORTAL?
Your studio has provided you with the app's information, and you’re ready to access it. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Need more storage? Don’t worry; the Akada Portal app can be accessed via a web browser. Use the link your studio has provided to access the app.
If you have already registered for the Parent Portal, you can log in using your current email address and password.
If you're brand new to the studio, select Create Account on the home page and enter the information. You can also reach out to the studio if you like. They will collect your information and send you the account activation email. Last but not least, you may also check your studio’s website for initial access. You can download the app or access it via a web browser. Once on the Parent Portal page, a pop-up will request that you create and confirm your password.
I'VE FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD. WHAT DO I DO?
From the Parent Portal, sign in page, click on Forgot Password.
You can enter the Email address used to create the account. If the email address matches the one on file, you will receive the Password Reset email. Click the link included in the email and follow the instructions to reset your Akada Portal password.
*If you do not receive the password reset email, check your Junk/Spam folder. If it is not there, contact your studio, and they will send it to you.
I ACCEPTED THE SCHOOLS' POLICIES; HOW DO I REVIEW THEM?
Log into your Parent Portal account and click the Menu option in the top left corner.
Select Studio Policies, and you can view the current and past policies you have signed.
HOW DO I EDIT MY EXISTING ACCOUNT INFORMATION?
Log into your Akada Portal account and click the Menu option in the top left corner. Select Account Settings and click Edit.
Check the options to copy the changes for parents and students. Make sure to SAVE the changes.

HOW DO I ADD A STUDENT?*
Once logged in, you can easily add a student from the home page by selecting the +Add Student button. Enter the necessary information, and be sure to save your changes.
If your studio allows it, you can upload a picture of your child(ren), documents, and notes for each student.

HOW DO I EDIT MY STUDENT'S INFORMATION?*
Once logged into the Akada Portal, select the student to be edited from the home screen. From the Student Options page, select Personal Details and then Edit at the bottom of the page.
Make the appropriate changes and Save Your Changes.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR CLASSES*?
You can easily register for classes with the app! Select Register from the settings menu on the right (1) of the home page. Alternatively, select the student (2) to go to the Student section on the Home page.
If your studio requires a credit card, you will be prompted to enter the credit card
information first, and then you will select classes.
Select your classes by clicking Request Class. You can also review any Class Details at any time during the registration process. When you have selected all the courses for the student, choose Finish.
When registering multiple children, you will select classes for each student. Select the appropriate class(es) by selecting Request Class and then click Next Student.
When you have completed selecting your child's class(es), select Finish Registration. You will be taken back to the Akada Portal Home page, and a message will appear at the bottom stating that your registration has been submitted successfully. If you do not click Finish Registration, the studio will not receive the registration, which could result in your child not being enrolled in the class(es).

HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT?*
Select Billing (1) from the Settings menu on the left to pay towards your current balance. You can also select Make A Payment (2) from the Current Balance section of the Home page.
If you opt to Pay Total Balance*: This option provides a quick way to make a payment towards all open charges. You cannot change the amount you are paying with this option. Select the Pay Total Balance button. Please look over the charges on the right, and you can use the credit card you have saved on file or enter a new card for a one-time payment. Please keep in mind the option to Save the Card if you need to change the credit card on file and if your studio offers the option for recurring billing. When you’re ready, select the Pay button at the bottom of the page.
If you opt to pay Selected Charges*, you can select the charges you want to pay. Locate the charge on the billing page and check the box on the right.
Select one charge or multiple charges; once selected, click the Pay Selected Balance. You cannot pay more than what is due on the account. If you'd like to pay ahead, please let your studio know, and they can enter the payment for you. Review the charges on the right, and you can use the credit card you have saved on file or enter a new card for a one-time payment. Please keep in mind the option to Save the Card if you need to change the credit card on file and if your studio offers the option for recurring billing. When you’re ready, select the Pay button at the bottom of the page. If the payment is successful, your studio will be notified of the payment you made!

HOW DO I SAVE A CREDIT CARD TO MY ACCOUNT?*
Select the Menu option From the Home page in the Settings menu on the left. Select Payment Settings. Select Edit + Add Payment Method, and the Add Payment option will appear on the right. Enter the information and Save Changes.

HOW DO I SET UP RECURRING BILLING*?
Once logged into Akada Portal, select Menu on the left and then select Payment Settings.
If you have a Saved Credit Card on File, Edit the credit card information and check the box for Use For Recurring Billing. Save Changes.
If you do not have a card on file, select +Add Payment Payment Method. Once you have entered the credit card information, the option to use it for recurring billing will appear. Check the box and save your changes.

How do I subscribe to Texting?*
Log into the Akada Portal and select Menu in the upper left corner. Select Account Settings.
Click Edit, and the Edit Personal Details will open on the right. Under the listed phone number, you will check the box to subscribe to texts. Make sure you Save your changes.
You can also subscribe by texting your studio's text number. Your studio will provide their text number. You will text Start to that number and will be automatically subscribed to receive texts.

I SET UP A DUPLICATE ACCOUNT; WHAT DO I DO?
If you are an existing customer but register for the Akada Portal with an email address not in your studio’s files, a second account will be created for you. No need to worry!! Just contact your studio by phone or email and let them know.
