The Dashboard gives you a quick, organized view of what’s happening in your studio — all in one place. From tracking attendance and payments to checking class schedules or enrollment trends, it’s designed to help you stay informed and proactive each day.
In this article, you’ll learn how to navigate each part of the Dashboard and customize it so you see the information that matters most to your studio.

First, let’s look at how to set up your Dashboard and customize it so it displays the information most relevant to your studio.
Click the Gear icon at the top-right corner of the Dashboard.
For each panel, choose from the following options:
Restricted – Non-admin users will not see this panel in their Dashboard settings.
Hide – The panel is not displayed on the screen, but non-admin users can enable it.
Show (panel expanded) – The panel is visible and always expanded.
Show (panel collapsed) – The panel is visible but collapsed; click to expand and view the information.
Click Save when finished.
Tip: Admin users can edit each user’s Dashboard settings from the Users screen.
Now that you’ve set up your Dashboard, let’s look at what each panel does.
Today’s Classes
Today’s Classes
The Today’s Classes panel gives you a quick view of all classes scheduled for the day you log in. You can change the date to review upcoming or past classes, or use the dropdown to filter by teacher.
Additionally, you can use the purple action menu located to the right of each class to:
View the Roster.
Enter Attendance.
Send a message to the class.
Visit the class info screen.
Aging A/R
Aging A/R
This section gives you a quick view of your Accounts Receivable, showing the same details typically found in your financial reports — now conveniently accessible right from your Dashboard.
Clicking on the balance due will allow you to:
View the accounts included in that total.
Go directly to a past-due account.
Tip: Accounts Receivable contains sensitive information that not every studio employee may need to access. Remember, you can restrict this panel for specific users from the Users screen in your settings.
Multiple Absences
Multiple Absences
This section allows you to view multiple student absences directly from the Dashboard. Simply set your desired days and absence criteria, and the results will update automatically.
Have a maximum number of absences for participation in your Nutcracker? This tool makes it easy to identify students who have exceeded—or are close to exceeding—that limit.
Use the action menu shown to the right of each student to:
View their absences.
Send an email or text.
Missing Attendance
Missing Attendance
Having trouble with late or missing attendance? Your Dashboard makes it easy to see which teachers haven’t submitted their entries.
Additional Options:
The dropdown menu at the top of the panel lets you filter by teacher.
The search bar allows you to search the list for teachers or for specific classes.
Use the purple action menu to the right of any class to Enter Attendance.
Tip: Make it easy for your teachers to take attendance in the classroom using Akada Studio. They can download it right to their phone or tablet.
Current Enrollment
Current Enrollment
This graph provides a visual overview of your studio's current enrollment, illustrating the number of spots filled and the number of spots remaining available. It makes it easy to see which classes are full and which have openings, helping with planning and managing class sizes efficiently.
Things to Know:
Use the dropdown menu at the top to break the graph down by Class, Type, Level, Teacher, or Day.
Click a class name to open a pop-up with more details and a link to that class’s info screen.
When the graph is grouped by Teacher or Day, clicking on a name or day will show a list of relevant classes, with the option to visit any specific class.
Waitlisted Students
Waitlisted Students
This graph provides a quick view of your waitlisted students, displaying class details, the number of available spaces, and the date of the waitlist. Use it to manage class demand, prioritize enrollments, and keep your scheduling organized.
Things to Know:
The drop-down at the top allows you to choose between displaying all classes and only those with open spaces.
You can click on any header in the graph to re-sort the list by that column, such as the Waitlisted Date.
The action menu on the right allows you to enroll the student, visit the student's profile, or view the class profile.
Historical Enrollment
Historical Enrollment
This feature lets you compare current enrollment to a previous date, giving you a clear view of your studio’s growth and helping you make informed decisions about class planning and scheduling.
Things to Know:
Use the dropdown to break the graph down by Class, Type, Level, Teacher, or Day.
Comparisons can only be made within the current session—you cannot compare to classes from a previous session.
Click on the graph to view more details about a specific class or see a list of classes in the selected category.
Student Time In Class
Student Time In Class
This panel displays a list of students along with the total time each student is enrolled in classes at your dance studio. Use it to see participation levels and track student engagement quickly.
Things to know:
Use the dropdown to break the graph down by Class, Type, Level, Teacher, or Day.
Notes Management
Notes Management
This panel lets you view and manage all account, student, and class notes in one place. It includes notes created by your studio as well as those submitted by parents, making it easy to stay organized and up to date.
Things to Know:
Notes can be filtered by recipient, status, or date.
Use the options button on the right to add, edit, or delete a note.
