How notifications work in All Gravy

Where notifications appear, how to pause or schedule them, and links to each module.

All Gravy tells you about new shifts, posts, training and requests in two places.

The Notification Centre. In the app, tap the bell at the top of the Feed. On the web, click the bell in the top bar. Your notifications are listed newest first. Tap one to open what it's about, or tap Mark all as read to clear the badge.

Push notifications. The mobile app also sends notifications to your phone's lock screen. The web shows the Notification Centre but doesn't send push.

What you're notified about

Each area has its own article:

Handbook articles, to-do lists and broadcast banners don't send notifications.

No notifications at all?

Your phone is probably blocking All Gravy. Follow Enabling All Gravy phone notifications. On Android, also check Missing notifications on Android.

Pause or schedule notifications

In the app, go to You → Notifications.

  • Pause notifications: pick 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month or a custom date. Your usual schedule comes back afterwards.

  • Set notification schedule: choose the days and hours you want notifications. See Set a notification schedule.

  • Calls: turn incoming call alerts on or off. With calls off, colleagues can't ring you in All Gravy.

Pausing and scheduling only silence your phone. Everything still lands in the Notification Centre, so you miss nothing.

Language

Notifications use the language on your profile: English, Danish, German or French.

How long notifications stay

Read notifications stay in the Notification Centre for 60 days. The list keeps your 500 most recent.

Emails

All Gravy emails you about your account only: your invitation, sign-in codes, password resets and contracts to sign. Admins may also get emails about reports and payroll exports. Everything else comes through the app.
