Frequently asked questions:

See below for common questions and answers regarding Opportunities on Angi.

1. What are opportunities?

Opportunities are connections you choose to accept or decline. They allow you to take on extra projects in addition to your leads. A homeowner may invite you to connect, or you can reach out to them first. When you receive an opportunity, you'll have the chance to review project details before accepting or declining. You only pay the lead fee when you choose to accept the connection.

2. What are the opportunity types I will receive?

  • Instant Connect Calls: Homeowner requests to speak to a pro on the phone right away. If you accept, you’ll be placed on a call to speak with the homeowner. Only one pro can respond to each Instant Connect Call.

  • Opportunity Leads: Homeowner enters their project details and then select the pros they’d like to quote their project. You can review the project details and choose to accept or decline the connection.

3. How will I receive opportunities?

You can receive opportunities via app notification, text message, email or phone calls. You will find available Opportunities on the "Opportunities" tab of the Angi Leads Pro app and Angi for Pros site.

4. What details are included in each opportunity?

Instant Connect Calls include the task requested by the homeowner. Opportunities include the homeowner name, location, and task. Accept the opportunity to contact the homeowner directly.

5. How many service pros get each opportunity?

Only one pro can respond to each Instant Connect Call. Up to four pros can respond to each Opportunity Lead. The faster you respond, the better your chance of winning the job.

6. Is an opportunity a guaranteed job?

Opportunities are not guaranteed jobs. You can increase your chances of winning the job by following up quickly and professionally.

7. How does an opportunity become a lead?

An opportunity becomes a lead when you choose to accept the connection. This is when you’re charged the lead fee. If you do not respond, the opportunity will not become a lead and you will not be charged.

8. How much do opportunities cost?

Opportunity lead fees vary based on several factors, including but not limited to the size, location and type of project. You’ll be charged more for opportunity leads than for leads that are automatically sent to you.

9. How am I charged for opportunities?

You’re charged for an opportunity as soon as you accept the connection. This is when the opportunity becomes a lead. The lead fee is applied to your account as soon as you receive it, and you’re billed weekly. This charge is outside of your monthly lead budget.

10. Do all opportunities count toward my monthly lead budget?

Opportunities are highly targeted homeowner connections that will be charged outside of your monthly budget. You will continue to receive opportunities even if you’ve hit your monthly budget. You will not be charged for opportunities unless you accept the connection.

11. How does turning my profile to short-term coverage affect my opportunities?

Switching to your short-term “busy” coverage will not stop you from receiving opportunities. Remember to only accept opportunities that you are interested in.

12. What happens to opportunities if I pause my regular leads?

You may continue to receive opportunities even when you’ve chosen to pause your regular auto-accept leads. Remember, you only pay for the opportunities you choose to accept.

13. What should I do if I’m receiving incorrect opportunities?

Opportunities may fall just outside of your regular ZIP code coverage, so be sure to review the project details before accepting. If the opportunity does not look correct, you can choose not to accept it and you won’t be charged.
