How to Request a Lead Credit

Guidelines and steps to request a lead credit.

If you believe you received a lead in error, you may be eligible to receive a credit for the lead.

Leads that may be eligible for credit include:

  • Duplicate leads: Same homeowner, property address, and project type.

  • Incorrect ZIP code: The homeowner submitted the wrong ZIP code for their project.

  • Incorrect project task: The project is not for a service you’re profiled for.

  • Competitor testing the system: Another service pro was testing the system, but not looking for a subcontractor.

  • Incorrect or disconnected phone number: Phone number is invalid or disconnected.

Your credit request may be automatically processed or may require manual review by the Angi team. If the lead is determined to be eligible for credit, the lead fee amount will be applied to your Angi Leads account to be used for future lead costs.

Angi Leads Pro app:

  1. Open the Angi Leads Pro app.

  2. Click the "Leads" tab and open the lead in which you are requesting a credit.

  3. Click the overflow menu in the upper right of the lead and then select "Request Credit."

  4. You'll see an overview of the requirements to receive an automatic lead credit. Click "Continue."

  5. Select the reason for your credit request and then provide additional details, as necessary. Click "Request Credit."

  6. If your lead credit request is automatically approved, you'll see an Approved message. If your lead credit request requires manual review, you should hear back from the team in 3-5 business days.


Angi for Pros site:

  1. Sign in to your business account at office.angi.com/login.

  2. Under the Leads tab, select "All leads."

  3. From the lead cards, select the appropriate lead and then click "Request lead credit."

  4. We'll indicate if the lead qualifies based on whether it is less than 45 days old. If it is, click "Continue."

  5. Next, choose the reason for the lead credit and then click "Continue."

  6. We will then determine and let you know if the lead meets the requirements for a lead credit.
