Primary Role: ANVL Business Administrator (BA)
Learning Focus: Apply
Why It Matters
Force logout immediately ends a user’s active sessions across the ANVL platform
Cached sessions can cause:
Access and permission errors
Inconsistent Group (Site) context
Group and permission changes do not fully apply until the user re-authenticates
The Mobile App and ANVL Workflows are especially sensitive to stale sessions
Mandatory Rule
If a user is removed from a Group (Site), you must force logout the user
Failure to do so will result in errors caused by invalid session context
When to Do This
A user reports login, sync, or permission errors
A user cannot open workflows or tasks
A user’s role, Group, or access level has changed
A user is removed from a Group (Site)
As a first troubleshooting step before escalation
Steps: Force Logout a Single User
Open the ANVL Admin Panel.
Navigate to User Management.
Search for and select the user.
Hover over the user row until the right-facing arrow appears.
Select the right-facing arrow to Force Logout.
Steps: Force Logout Multiple Users (Bulk)
Open the ANVL Admin Panel.
Navigate to User Management.
Use search or filters to locate users.
Select multiple users.
Choose Bulk User Logout.
What You Should See
Confirmation that the logout action completed successfully
Users prompted to log back in on next access
Error conditions resolved after re-login in most cases
Watch Out For…
Force logout does not delete users or remove access
Users may need to fully close and reopen the Mobile App
If issues persist after logout, verify:
Group membership
Role and Special Rights assignment
Workflow publication status
