Answer
Create Assignments Now creates the first assignment immediately instead of waiting for the first scheduled cycle. Use this when you want people to see and complete the assignment right away, even though the recurring schedule will continue on its normal cadence afterward.
If this option is not selected, the first assignment will be created on the first scheduled run of the assignment schedule.
Steps
Open ANVL Insights.
Go to Assignments.
Open Manage Schedules.
Create a new assignment schedule.
Find the Create Assignments Now option.
Turn it on if you want the first assignment created immediately.
Save the schedule.
Additional Details
Create Assignments Now can only be set when you are creating an assignment schedule. It cannot be turned on later when editing an existing schedule.
If Create Assignments Now is selected, ANVL creates an assignment right away and then continues creating future assignments based on the recurring schedule.
If Create Assignments Now is not selected, ANVL waits until the first scheduled cycle to create the first assignment.
Example
If you create a monthly assignment schedule on March 20:
Create Assignments Now selected: the first assignment is created immediately for the current month, and the next assignment is created on April 1 for the next monthly cycle.
Create Assignments Now not selected: no assignment is created on March 20, and the first assignment is created on April 1.
This option is helpful when you are setting up a recurring schedule in advance but still want the current assignment to be available right away.
