Hydropack: How to troubleshoot no water producing or water only producing on one side

Updated this week

Safety Note: Always turn off breakers before performing electrical diagnostics.

When your Hydropack water production slows or stops, follow these diagnostic steps:

  1. Panel Inspection

    • Remove the side panel (left panel for Hydropack S)

    • Check if coils are cold

    • Verify water is dripping down

  2. Capacitor Check

    • Use a multimeter in Farad mode

    • Verify capacitor reads 54-55 microfarads

    • Ensure connector connections are tight

    • Always use protective gloves and insulated needle-nose pliers

  3. Contactor Verification

    • Confirm power is reaching the contactor

    • Listen for clicking when machine accelerates

    • Check for compressor vibration and quiet humming

  4. Wiring Connection Inspection

    • Locate the connection bridge

    • Verify wire connections:

      • Yellow wire to M1

      • Black wire to B1

      • Blue wire to G1

    • Measure voltage on compressor wiring leads

    • Ensure all leads read above 2 volts

If these steps reveal a potential compressor issue, contact Aquaria support for further guidance.
