Manage billing and plans

Billing is one of those things you want to touch about twice a year and have work both times. This covers the everyday jobs, and points you to the right place for anything that needs a human.

Written by Support

One thing to know before you start: billing is admin-only. These options only show up for workspace Admins — if you can't see them, you're almost certainly signed in as a Member. Who holds Admin, and how to change it, is in Atria accounts and admin roles.

Where your plan and balance live

Everything billing sits behind your workspace profile icon.

1. Click the workspace profile icon (top of the left panel).

2. Select Current Plan.

From here you can see the plan you're on, your credit balance, and the controls for payment and invoices.

Update your payment details

Payment methods are handled in Stripe, which we open for you from inside Atria — so you never type a card number into Atria itself.

1. Profile icon → Current Plan.

2. Click Billing & Invoice beneath your plan name.

3. You'll land in the Stripe billing portal. Update your card there.

If your plan has expired you may not be able to reach this the normal way — in that case email us at support@tryatria.com and we'll sort it.

Find and download invoices

Same door as payment details — your full invoice history lives in the Stripe portal.

1. Profile icon → Current Plan.

2. Click Billing & Invoice.

3. Your Stripe billing page opens with the complete invoice history — download whichever ones you need.

If you need a VAT invoice, or you need to change the company name, address or tax details that appear on an invoice, that's its own short article: How to request a VAT invoice or update your billing details. It's the one to follow rather than editing anything by hand here.

Expired plans: if your plan has lapsed, the in-app route may be closed to you. Email us the months you need and the address on the account, and we'll pull them for you.

Top up your credits

Running low but happy on your current plan? You don't have to upgrade to get more credits — you can buy a top-up that's added straight away.

1. Click your profile icon (top of the left panel).

2. Select Current Plan.

3. Click + Buy credits.

4. Choose how many you'd like and confirm.

They land in your account right away. For how credits are counted and where each feature spends them, see Understand & manage AI credits — we've deliberately kept the mechanics there so there's one source of truth rather than two that drift.

Changing your plan

Upgrading is self-serve: profile icon → Current PlanUpgrade, then pick your plan and confirm. The new features switch on immediately.

Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period, not straight away — so nothing changes mid-cycle. You keep your current plan's features and your credit balance right up until the switch, then the new plan starts fresh on your next billing date. To downgrade, drop us a line and we'll set it up for your cycle. For cancellations and refunds, follow How to cancel your subscription or request a refund — it's kept current.

Which plan is right for us?

We've deliberately kept plan names, prices and what's included out of this article — they change, and a help centre is the wrong place to chase them. For an up-to-date comparison, see the pricing page at tryatria.com/pricing, or read Choose your Atria plan for a plain-English walk through how to pick. And if you'd like a second opinion for your spend and team, that's exactly the kind of thing we're happy to talk through — just ask.

When to email us instead of clicking

Some things are faster as a message than a menu. Reach out straight away for:

  • A billing dispute or a charge that looks wrong

  • Still being charged after you cancelled

  • Not being able to reach billing at all

  • A failed payment

  • An invoice request (including VAT — though the VAT article above usually gets you there quicker)

To make it quick, include your account email address, any error message you saw, and roughly when it happened. For anything time-sensitive, put BILLING URGENT in the subject line and it'll jump the queue.

Billing questions are never daft — if something doesn't add up, tell us and we'll get to the bottom of it. Email us any time at support@tryatria.com.
