Understand and manage AI credits

Your guide to AI credits: what they do, how many you have, and how to get more when you need them

What AI credits are

AI credits pay for Atria's AI features. When Raya analyses your account, answers a question, generates or edits an ad, or builds a report, it uses credits. Different actions use different amounts.

See the cost before you run something

  • Image generation: hover to see the cost, and compare models and quality levels.

  • Magic Layer: each area you select shows its cost before you run it.

  • Radar recommendations: the cost shows before you run it.

Other actions, like chatting with Raya, don't show a cost in advance. You can see what they used in your consumption report.

Turn off Auto-Gen until your Brand World is set up

Auto-Gen generates ads automatically in the background. Each cycle creates 4 ads at 480 credits each, so a full cycle can use around 1,920 credits. Unused image credits are refunded automatically.

If Auto-Gen runs before your Brand World is set up, it generates from incomplete brand information. This is the most common reason customers run out of credits early. Turning Auto-Gen on now asks you to confirm, and each run ends with a notice showing the credits it used.

We recommend:

  1. Turn Auto-Gen off while you get started.

  2. Set up your Brand World (colours, fonts, products, personas), aiming for a brand context score of 80 or more. See Setting up your Brand World.

  3. Turn Auto-Gen back on if you want it.

Your allowance, and getting more

Your plan includes a monthly credit allowance. You can see your allowance and balance in Atria. If you're running low:

  • Top up from your workspace settings.

  • Upgrade to a plan with a bigger allowance (see Choose your Atria plan).

  • Contact us about a custom amount if you regularly need more.

Only workspace admins can top up or change plans.

MCP and API calls

Calls through the MCP (Claude, ChatGPT and other AI tools) and the Atria API have their own allowance, separate from your credits. On a paid plan, each call beyond that allowance costs 1 credit. You can see your calls under MCP → Overview. See Connect Atria to Claude & ChatGPT through MCP.
