What Are Multi-Placement Ads?

A multi-placement ad contains up to 3 creative assets with different aspect ratios. Instead of creating separate ads for Feed, Stories, and Reels, Meta automatically serves the best-fitting creative for each placement.

Adding Creative Assets

Each ad can hold up to 3 creatives. Click the “+” button in the Creative Assets column to add images or videos from the Asset Library.

Tip: Choose one asset per recommended ratio (1:1, 9:16, 1.91:1) for optimal placement coverage.

Grouping into Multi-Placement Ads

In the Bulk Add workflow, navigate to Step 2: Select Creative Assets, then:

  1. Select the creative assets you want to group.

  2. Click “Group into multi-placement” to combine them into one ad.

  3. Grouped assets appear under a single ad card with a “Multi placement” label.

To split a multi-placement ad back into individual ads, select the grouped ad and click the ungroup option.
