Launch lets you build ads inside Atria and push them straight to Meta — no bouncing between tabs, no rebuilding the same ad five times for five ad sets. This walks you through a clean launch end to end, and then, because most of the questions we get are about the launches that don't go cleanly, through what to do when one doesn't.
Before you start
Two checks save nearly every launch headache before it happens:
Your Meta connection is healthy. Launch writes to Meta on your behalf, so it needs
ads_managementandbusiness_managementgranted. If you've seen a permissions warning anywhere in Atria, sort that first — Required Meta app permissions missing walks through it.Your launch permissions read 2/2. Open Analytics & Launch → Launch and check the Permissions button in the top right. If it shows 0/2 or 1/2, the launch will fail at the last step no matter how perfect the ads are. Launch permissions — why is my ad account showing 1/2? is the fix.
Get those two green and the rest is quick.
The happy path
1. Create a launch task
Open Analytics & Launch → Launch and click Create launch task. (Launch lives inside Analytics & Launch — it isn't its own item in the left nav, which is the first thing people get wrong.)
2. Open Bulk add
Inside the task, click Bulk add in the top right to open the Bulk Add wizard. It runs three steps: Basic setup → Select creative assets → Ad content. If you'd rather set ads up one at a time, + Add row does that instead.
3. Basic setup
Choose the Facebook Page the ads run from (and, optionally, an Instagram profile), then pick the Campaigns & Ad Sets you're targeting. Select several ad sets and Atria builds the same ads across all of them at once.
4. Select creative assets
Click Select from asset to open the Asset Library. Pick existing assets, upload from your computer, or pull from Google Drive — anything you upload is saved back to your library for next time. To make a multi-placement ad, select two or three assets and Group into multi-placement; one square (1:1), one vertical (9:16) and one horizontal (1.91:1) is the combination we'd aim for. There's more in Multi-placement ads.
5. Ad content
Write your primary text, headline, description and call to action — or drop in an Ad Content Template to auto-fill the fields and keep a batch consistent.
6. Preview
Back on the summary table, click Preview (top right) to open the launch Preview — a gallery of every ad in the task. Toggle between Mockup and Live to see how each one actually renders across placements before you commit to anything.
7. Launch all ads
Happy with it? Click Launch all ads. You can still edit any row from the summary table right up to this point.
8. Watch it land
The Launch dashboard shows a status per task — processing, launched, or a problem. Click View details on a task to open the Ad Details panel, where Status, Effective Status, Issue Info and Creative Enhancement tell you what Meta actually did with each ad. Tracking results in ad details covers reading that panel properly.
A launch failed — do I start over?
No, and please don't rebuild the whole task. Open View details first, read Issue Info on the ads that didn't land, fix the specific cause, and retry from the existing task rather than making a new one. Rebuilding from scratch is the commonest overreaction we see, and it usually just produces duplicate ads in Meta once the original attempt catches up.
It says it launched, but fewer ads showed up in Meta
We won't pretend this one isn't unsettling: a task can report success while fewer ads than you built actually appear in Meta Ads Manager. If the count doesn't match, don't re-launch on reflex — that's exactly how you end up with doubles. Instead, open Ad Details, compare Status against Effective Status ad by ad, and check Issue Info for anything Meta rejected quietly. If the numbers still won't reconcile, send us the task and we'll trace it — this is one we'd rather look at with you than have you guess at.
A "placement rule error"
If Issue Info flags a placement rule problem, Meta is refusing a creative for a placement it doesn't fit — usually an aspect ratio a placement won't accept, or a multi-placement group missing a shape a targeted placement needs. Rework the group so every placement you're targeting has a creative it can use (the 1:1 / 9:16 / 1.91:1 trio covers the common ones), then relaunch. Multi-placement ads goes into what each placement expects.
The launch was refused at the last moment
If everything built fine but the launch itself was rejected, re-check the Permissions button (the 0/2 · 1/2 · 2/2 counter, top right of Launch).
If you're stuck on any of these, send us the launch task and the ad account ID — happy to get on a call and watch a launch go through with you.
