The Ad Details panel is where a launch stops being "did it work?" and becomes "what is Meta actually doing with each ad?". Open it from Analytics & Launch → Launch → View details on any launched task, and you get four things worth understanding.
Status vs Effective Status
Two columns, and the gap between them is the single most useful thing on the panel.
Status is what you set — active, paused, archived. Your intention.
Effective Status is what Meta is doing — the real delivery state. An ad can read Status active and still not spend a penny, because Meta has it in review, or a campaign-level setting is holding it, or the account has a problem.
When someone asks "why isn't my ad running when I set it live?", the answer is nearly always in the gap between these two. Read Effective Status, not Status, when you want the truth of it. They're deliberately separate columns — don't collapse them into one in your head.
Issue Info
This column carries any errors, warnings or policy problems on an ad. Click the indicator and an Ad error panel slides open with the detail — what Meta objected to, and usually enough to act on. If a launch under-delivered or an ad simply won't spend, Issue Info is the first place we'd look.
Creative Enhancement
Shows how many of Meta's automatic creative enhancements are on or off for each ad, each with a toggle, plus when the configuration was last changed. These are Meta's optimisations, not Atria's — worth a glance if a creative is rendering differently from how you built it.
Preview — and why it sometimes won't load
Click the eye icon on an ad to preview it. The preview renders the actual creative straight from Meta and lets you switch placements (Mobile Feed and so on) to check it looks right everywhere.
Here's the bit the old version of this article left out, and it's behind a lot of tickets: rendering that live creative needs Atria to have access to the ad's Facebook Page — and that's a completely separate permission from your ad account. You can have flawless ad-account access, with every number in your reports correct, and still land on a Grant Page Access to Preview panel where the creative should be, because Meta treats the Page as its own object with its own permissions. Nothing's wrong with your data; it's only the picture that's missing.
The two-minute version: open the affected ad, click Edit Settings inside that panel (don't skip it — going past it is the usual reason "I granted access and nothing changed"), opt in to all Pages on Meta's screen, save, and refresh. If you've been round that loop twice and nothing's changed, stop — the ad most likely runs from a Page you don't manage, which is a Meta-side fix rather than an Atria one.
Page permissions in Analytics reports covers the whole thing properly, including the cases where granting can't help; we won't repeat it here.
Opening in Ads Manager
Click the external-link icon to jump to the ad in Meta Ads Manager, where you have full control over creative, targeting, budget and Meta's own recommendations. Handy when the fix turns out to be Meta-side rather than Atria-side.
If a result in here doesn't make sense — an ad that says it's active but isn't spending, or an error you can't parse — send us the ad name and account ID and we'll help you read it.
