Generating a fixed-layout document, such as a PDF, does indeed involve a more complex rendering process compared to eBooks. Since each element in the document depends on the proper placement of preceding elements, it is necessary to generate the entire PDF each time, which can take a little longer.
Several factors can impact the speed of the print preview, including your internet or processing speed, as well as the length or complexity of your document. If you're experiencing consistent issues with the preview not loading properly, there might be something interfering with it.
To start troubleshooting, I recommend performing a hard refresh to ensure your app is up-to-date.

If you can export a PDF but can't see the print preview or calculated page count, it's possible that a conflict between the Chrome PDF viewer and your video drivers is causing the issue. You can try resolving it by following these steps:
Open the Chrome menu by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner.
Click on "Settings."
In the left-hand menu, select "System."
Toggle off "Use hardware acceleration when available."
Please note that turning off hardware acceleration may temporarily fix the rendering problems but could potentially slow down performance when viewing web content. It's advisable to turn it back on after completing your task involving the PDF.
If you encounter any further issues with the print preview or PDF export, I recommend going through our tutorial on troubleshooting PDF export errors.
