When you register for a presale or competition campaign you may choose to register with Spotify, follow a Spotify artist or save a track or playlist to earn points. A permissions page will appear, like in the image below.

Connecting your Spotify is completely optional and not a requirement.
We request permissions so that we can follow artists, save playlists and tracks, on behalf of your account, to earn you points in the campaign.
Spotify does not allow us to specify which permissions we need. It’s either all permissions, or no permissions.
We never delete or modify existing content in your Spotify library.
