MFA
To access your Audience Republic account, multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required. Setting up MFA will ensure your account is better protected.
Why is multi-factor authentication important?
Enhanced Security: MFA provides an additional layer of protection beyond a username and password. By requiring a second form of verification through an authentication app, unauthorised users will have a much more difficult time gaining access to your account.
Protection Against Credential Theft: Even if a hacker obtains your password via phishing, infostealer malware, or another method, they will still require the second factor to access your account. This significantly lowers the risk of unauthorized access.
Compliance and Best Practices: Many industry standards and regulations now require the use of multi-factor authentication for sensitive data and systems. Enabling MFA ensures compliance with these standards and demonstrates your commitment to safeguarding your data.
How to set up MFA on your mobile device
Go to Account Settings
Click on the MFA tab
Click Enable MFA
Step 1: Install a compatible application such as Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, or Authy app on your device.
Virtual authenticator apps implement the time-based one-time password (TOTP) algorithm and support multiple tokens on a single device. You can install apps for your smartphone from the app store that are specific to your type of smartphone. Some app providers also have web and desktop applications available. App examples:
