Creating and Managing Tags

Tags are manual labels you can apply to contacts to organise and segment your audience. Unlike saved filters, tags do not update automatically - they stay until removed.


Create a new tag

  1. Go to Audience Manager → Contacts.

  2. Select one or more contacts.

  3. In the floating action panel, click Create New Tag.

  4. Enter a name and click Create New.


Apply a tag

  1. Select the contacts you want to tag.

  2. Click the Tag button in the floating action panel.

  3. Choose an existing tag or create a new one.


Edit, rename, or merge tags

  1. Open the Second Navigation Panel and click on My Tags.

  2. Select the tags you want to update.

  3. Go to the floating action panel and choose Rename, Merge, Group or Delete.

  • Rename: Allows you to rename your tag

  • Merge: Combines multiple tags into one; all associated contacts are updated.

  • Group: Create a group to combine multiple tags for filtering or automation.

  • Delete: Allows you to Delete the tag and removes it from all associated contacts


Favourite tags

You can now mark frequently used tags with the star ★ icon to sort and access them quickly. All tags marked as a favourite will appear at the top of the list of tags for easy navigation.


💡 Best practices

  • Use tags for manual organisation or highlighting specific contact preferences.

  • Keep tag names consistent to avoid duplicates.

  • Combine tags into groups for more complex organisation.
